Great Service

I Went to Home Hardware on Seminole/ Aubin to pick up an order. I Just wanted to say their setup for pick/ up was very smooth. They were very efficient and we had service with a smile! I've shopped there several times prior to this craziness' and I will say their staff is great. Very knowledgeable with their products and always very helpful. I'm just happy to see the smaller businesses doing well in these times. Home hardware, you have definitely been spotted!!!!
Thank you!

Indifference

I am writing out of utter shock and disgust at the lack of concern shown last night in Lakeshore park. My elderly mother was out for a walk with her dog around 8pm last night, when she lost her footing on the side of the path and fell in the park. Into the mud, stones, and debris. Her dog pulled loose and she was terrified he would run away in fear, luckily he came right to her. What angers me, is the 6 or 7 people who walked right by her, saw that she was bleeding from her knees and hands, AND DID NOTHING!! Not one person, including the young couple who watched it happen, even so much as asked her if she was alright. No one helped her up, or asked if they could call someone to help . I am so disappointed in the people who chose to ignore her and keep walking by. What if that was YOUR mom??? I understand there is a virus at large, but for crying out loud, no one even acknowledged her while she sat there in the mud bleeding!!!! All I can say is this even has opened my eyes to how people can be!

Nice guys

This message is the the gentleman who works the afternoon shift at Tim Horton's by staples on ouellette.

The older gentleman has to be the nicest guy I have encountered on drive through, I go out of my way to go to this Tim Horton's as he makes my ever so complicated drink.

He made the baker who was a young guy with red hair make the perfect snacks
I'm sorry I don't have names 🙁 but you both of been spotted on this day

U can have the worst day and he will brighten your day, thank you guys for just being you,

Supporting frontline staff

Friday April 10 I was leaving Windsor Regional Hospital-Ouellette campus. There were 3 vehicles parked across from the exit. These 3 vehicles were there showing support to the staff. They honked and waved and flashed signs thanking the staff. I just want to say thank you! You've been spotted. Times are very stressful and I can't describe how it felt to have complete strangers take the time and make the effort to say thank you. I cried all the way home! Thank you for restoring my faith in society.

Anyone missing a red Kawasaki bike? My neighbours are thieves and they're running a chop shop upstairs, I'll also add pics of the chopped up bikes we have in the yard too. Message me and I'll tell you where to come and get it!

We heard you!

Both the Leaminton OPP and Martin Varela, Chair of the Migrant Worker Community Program, got together this afternoon to create a video in English and Spanish especially for agricultural workers. This came in an effort to create more awareness in as many Spanish speaking agricultural workers as possible and to help them to comply with the provincial orders in place to stop the spread of COVID-19. Great team work!!

Superstore

I just wanted to share my awesome experience from today. I was at the Superstore on Walker road around 2:00pm and needed soil for my garden. I didn't want to bring my kids inside due to covid 19 (they were with me in my car) . A man was pulled up infront of me as I was contemplating how I could pay online and just grab the soil from outside. He, without hesitation took the cash I had and went inside to pay for my soil and his. Not to mention the awesome employee who helped me load it up. Goes to show that there are some awesome helpful people out there. :)

Windsor Riverfront 1970

I found some old footage from 1970 if Windsor's Riverfront Parks. It is pretty cool to see how much it has changed in 50 years.
