When do you know to leave?

Long story short. I have been with my partner for 8 yrs now haven't really been happy for the last 6 of them. It has been the same fights forever he promises to change does for like 2 weeks a month then things go back to normal. Hes never around and when he is he does very little to help around the house or children. We are not intimate or affectionate. I have asked multiple times to seperate and then he makes the promises again and I stay. I do love him just not in love anymore do I wait and hope the future will get better or move on?

Streaker on the loose

June 5th, I was sitting down at the riverfront by the Spirit of Windsor. I was approached by a police officer who asked if I had been near the washrooms at Festival Plaza (I have not). They had caught a person who had exposed himself to people. The problem is that none of the witnesses stuck around to identify him. So they had to release him as they couldn't verify it was him without being identified.

So be careful when going to the riverfront, especially with children.

Above and beyond

The woman who answered the phone at shoppers on Howard and tec. I called and asked about a delivery, was about 8pm and she said she didnt even know if the driver was still there and they normally only deliver prescriptions. I told her my dad has cancer and just started with the runs(tmi), my mom couldnt leave him, I'm stuck at home no car and 2 kids, sisters out of town and we needed an adult diaper to help him overnight. She got the driver to deliver them to my parents! I dont know what else we wouldve done so thank you so much for being super kind and thank you to the driver who delivered them!!!

Silent Hero's

I am a nurse that works in acute care.

My neighbour is an (amazing) retired nurse who served her time and helped make nursing what it is today; a wonderful profession.

Her son has been staying with her for the past several weeks, ensuring his wonderful mother stays safe during these uncertain times.

They have both been so wonderful and grateful for my part during Covid 19 working in acute care (there has never been a time that I haven't been thanked by them), but I wanted to take a moment to thank all the nurses before us who paved the way and made nursing what it is today. Also, for all their families who are making sure that our hero's that wore the nursing caps prior to us are being taken care of the way they would have taken care of their patients.

So, to all the nurses who paved the way for us, and their families, I would like to thank you for all you have done and all you are doing. We are working the frontlines because of you and your families.

A special thank you to my wonderful neighbour Mrs. P and her son Mr. P (jr) for all their support and kind words!...there have been days that those kind words have meant more to me than you will ever know! Angels come in all shapes and forms, and I hope they know that they are my angels that have helped me during my most challenging of days.

Sincerely,

A grateful nurse
