Would like to thank Staff at Tecumseh Mall and Sobeys for all your help. Not only did you help my 15 year old daughter collect 1000 cans for the Windsor Downtown Mission but also jump start her year reign as Miss Teen Windsor. Though all your charity help and support we not only helped this cause but brought awareness to the Windsor area. So you been spotted for helping out a teen trying to make a difference. To all the social media who picked up and advertised for this I would like to say thank you also. You all should be very proud knowing it made a young girl even more determined to help the mission.

Friday December 20th, I was with 2 friends and 6 kids in total at hijinks. They had a bouncy house for the kids to enjoy. I was watching 3 x 3yr olds and a 4yr old in my care inside the bouncy house, and there was a boy of about 9 in there as well. He was rough housing one of the 3yr olds in my care, and I warned him 3 or 4 times to take it easy, be careful, etc. Then 2 other boys of around 10 got in there and were jumping around, knocking the little kids over. Then the 9yr old jumped on the 3yr old as he fell down, and I lost it. Yelled at him really loud, told him that's enough, I'm tired of him playing rough with 3yr olds, etc. I didn't really think, I just reacted. Apparently I yelled so loud that my friends said the place went silent. This boy did not cry or say anything to me, I think I surprised him. A few minutes later he left the bouncy house and went playing somewhere else. Fast forward 30minutes: the kids moms friend came over trying to pick a fight with me INSIDE A CHILDREN'S PLAYSPACE, saying I should have talked to them and not yelled at her friends kid. Well, sure logically that's what any reasonable person would do, IF YOU WERE SUPERVISING YOUR KIDS and were there for me to even know who you are! Also should we not be setting an example for our children on conflict resolution, and you trying to start a fight with a stranger, threatening to make my kids cry is not setting a very good example. I however kept my cool, simply told her what happened and that she should do us all a favour and watch her kids. She said 'yeah well my friend has 4 kids!' And your point is?? So you have 4 kids lady, great for you. One day they will be 4 adults and god help us all.
Just because its an indoor playspace, does NOT mean you don't have to supervise your children. Hijinks staff are not babysitters.
Am I sorry I yelled at your kid for playing rough and not listening when being told to take it easy? NO. Am I a little ashamed for Yelling extremely loud? YES
The lesson here parents is please supervise your children, no matter where you are. If you can't see them, get up off your a$$, put down your tablet and coffee, and make sure they are ok and not harming anyone else's children.

Signed, a mom who is not sorry for disciplining your child, who seemed a little unruly and could use some discipline.

Spotted : It was 5 days before Christmas I have $143.00 in the bank, pay day is 7 days away. I still have to grocery shop, my two young kids want to buy something for each other for Christmas. Not sure how I will make it all work.

Opened the mail on Friday to find a Christmas cards from a secret Santa with a Walmart and LCBO gift card in it. I can't figure out whow it is from.

Now I have groceries for the week and my kids have something to give to their sibling on Christmas. Should be fine now until pay day.

Thank you to my secret Santa you have no idea how much this meant to me.
