Spotted : To Marie at Freshco on Rivard and Tecumseh working Saturday around noon. You have amazing customer service skills. You are super pleasant. The store was packed with shoppers getting groceries, preparing for the winter storm heading our way and you didn't seem stressed one bit. You chatted with us, but in a timely fashion and wished us a Happy New year. Freshco needs more Marie's !!! Marie you have been spotted! I hope you or someone you know sees this! Be blessed!

'A Must Read'

Your Mother carried you inside of her womb for nine whole months, she felt sick for months with nausea, then she watched her feet swell and her skin stretch and tear. She struggled to climb stairs, she got breathless quickly and even a simple task like putting her shoes on was a huge struggle for her. She suffered many sleepless nights while you kicked and squirmed inside of her and while you demanded that she scoffed junk at 3am, she then went through EXCRUCIATING PAIN to bring you into this world. She became your nurse, your chef, your maid, your chauffeur, your biggest fan, your teacher, your agony aunt and your best friend. She's struggled for you, cried over you, fought for you, put herself second for you, hoped the best for you and has driven herself insane with worry for you but never has she asked for anything in return because she loves you and did it all on love alone! Most of us take our Mums for granted but there are people who have lost or have never even seen theirs. If you have a loving Mother who did all of this for you, you are very lucky, never devalue her worth because one day, you'll wish you hadn't!

What are you still waiting for?.....

Spotted : A few days ago after the big snow fall I was out shovelling our driveway. I had been out there for about 25-30 minutes and it looked like I hadn't even made a dent. As I continued to shovel a man on a 4 wheeler pulls up with a big shovel attached to the front of it and asked if he could finish my drive way!! He had a big helmet on so I couldn't really see who he was. I kept saying thank you because I couldn't believe it. He finished the drive way, gave a thumbs up, and drove off!! It was the coolest and nicest thing! So again, thank you!!!
Signed a very thankful girl!

Attention walker rd businesses:
Shovel the pedestrian walkways! those city sidewalks are for PEDESTRIANS not for you to plow your parking lot snow onto! Its not sufficient to clear your lot and the two feet of sidewalk in between your lot and door. the sidewalk out front must be cleared too. kudos to tim hortobs applebies and petro as the only businesses between the theatre and the expressway who actually cleaned the sidewalks in front of their buildings.

At devonshire mall 335pm Tuesday dec 30. showing of Catching Fire. My daughters and I were sitting in front row as movie was quite busy. An elderly woman with two other companions had no choice but to sit away from them alone. I offered to move down so the others could sit with her as there were 2 empty seats to her left and an "empty" seat to my daughters right. The empty seat was taken by a young man of maybe 12. We repeatedly said excuse me to this kid. After 5 times he looked at us and back at the screen that was just playing commercials. One last time the older woman he was with rolled her eyes like we were bothering her. The elderly lady thanked us for trying and just enjoyed the movie. Later she said " thanks for watching a movie with me happy new year you are lovely person"

To the lady and her rude son you have been spotted. And to think after the movie made a comment as you were trying to get by us into the bathroom "wow how rude of people to just stand in someone's way"
