When I got stuck in my driveway yesterday, not one, two, three, but 4 of our neighbors (whom we barely see or talk to) came outside in the -24 degree weather to help me get unstuck. turns out the rails and framework of my small car were stuck on icy snow and not only did they push, lift, and pull my car all different ways to get unstuck, they lent struts of carpet, kitty litter, salt, etc.. All in efforts to help me get out of the driveway. Thank you Dave, Lisa, Brad, and I think the other man's name was Brett.... you all have been spotted and I will think of you all when I pay it forward !!

A big thank you to all of the people in the past two days including city of windsor workers, who stopped what they were doing to help us get our little car unstuck and out of snow banks. We were just on our way today to get our snow tires put on and we slid into another snow bank, we were shovelled and pushed back out onto the road, and we have our new tires on now!
It's amazing the number of caring people in windsor that come to the rescue when they see people in need.
Your kind actions and help have not gone unnoticed, and we have definitely been paying it forward helping others get out of these crazy snow piles as well.

On the worst road conditions I was going to Amherstburg on Alma Road to go to a job Interview. Even though I was driving slow and trying to get to the interview i did a 180 on the ice then my car went on its side in the snow so I was tipped all the way up. Two men who I did not see earlier came to my resuce and made sure I was okay till the ambulance and police showed up. The abulance men were so nice and got me to calm down, along with the police. I just wanted to let you know on that day all of you made my day so so much better even though my husband was out of town for the day I felt like I was at home. So a HUGE THANK YOU to the Amhershburg police and ambulance thank-you thank-you you were all so wonderful and angels.

P.S. the car was not that damaged excerpt for some dents that can be fixed and it runs.

Love Tina Fynbo
A very grateful person to be alive.

Our son, his wife and our 20 month old little grandaughter were getting a bit chilly in their home as their outdoor furnace unit began acting up for several days. My son decided to go and purchase a carbon monoxide detector just to be sure the air in the house from the furnace was safe and plugged it in. The detector started going off within hours detecting there was carbon monoxide in their home. They had to shut the furnace off because it was unsafe and were trying to keep warm during this major artic blast with 3 small space heaters as a new furnace was being decided on. A huge and grateful thank you to the guys at Syles heating and cooling who braved the freezing temps of -18C and -40 windchills outside Monday to quickly install a whole new outdoor furnace unit so my son and his family could have safe heating again in their home. Soooo grateful for that carbon monoxide detector that likely saved their lives.
