To Parents and Guardians that order hot school lunches from an area provider. Please be aware that if no buses are running, and you cannot get your kids to school, you are not credited for the lunch that you ordered .not even sure where that lunch goes; because of allergies, highly doubt it's given to another child then it must be thrown out. Clearly this company does not have a policy/ procedure in place. This company can ask the school for an updated list of lunches very early in the morning long before the order goes out. I was told that "confidentiality was in question" so they had no way of knowing ahead of time .That's ridiculous. There is no confidentiality in question; "no macaroni and cheese for Mr.Smith's class" would be all the company needs to know
The no buses running situation is is very rare, so it shouldn't take too long for the school to inform this company.
I am not happy that the money I paid for my children will not be reimbursed or even lunches credited. All I was told is "I hope you understand" when I inquired if they could credit us. Well, I hope this company "understands" that it will be losing QUITE A BIT OF MONEY FROM NOW UNTIL JUNE ! I would highly suggest this company have policies and communicate this via a letter before the orders are taken.

Private college vs Community college.
I've noticed a huge difference in the community when your applying for a job in the health field, if your from a private college most places wont look at you, but if your from st Clair their all over you. Have you ever sat and looked at the differences between both types of schools? Well in the last few weeks I've noticed a difference, especially in the way programs are taught. For example private schools you get a lot of hands on training, in depth knowledge of diseases and impairments. St Clair, well I really don't know what to say except I feel sorry for some of these students that are in a certain program. Someone please explain how gang banging and sutures of gun shots wounds at Henry Ford hosp in the states is relevant to culture and diversity when having a client that's of a different culture background? I know when I was in school in this program, we were taught and demonstrated proper procedures and had proper info drilled in our heads. But, yet at St Clair, you have staff members telling students to drop the class if they don't like it. And teaching things that aren't relevant to the course. These students pay over $3,000 and then some for these courses to not be taught proper. I understand that has a private college graduate I will not have the doors open for me like I would if I went to St Clair. So that means someone with extensive knowledge and training won't be hired over someone who got taught subjects that are not relevant and lac of training in this field. You tell me how equal this is. It's pretty bad when these teachers are giving homework and no students can find the work in their text books, and when it gets brought to the teachers attention they show no care n say oh well I'm retiring next year so I don't care. Like what the hell these students are paying your wages you should care. From my observations, I believe I can dance circles around some of these teachers when it comes to teaching their students. If you don't want to teach then quit your jobs, and maybe you should look around in your classrooms and see that these students are there to learn real information about health care. Further more, this is Canada last time I checked why do these student need to learn about a hosp that is American and has a different health care system then their own country. I really hope these students make it out there because if it was my family I'd be worried about having one of these students with my family members. Especially when I'm asked about things because the teachers skip right over them. I have no problem in sharing my knowledge and my training in this field. Whatever I can do to help a fellow Heath Care Worker. But dam, do your jobs and you won't have students asking a private college graduate things because the teachers could care less. You have teachers that tell you to keep your cells out on the desk so you can text in class anytime you want. Wow!!!!! Appalling, discussed, mortified and blown away!!!! I really think the head of St Clair should go into these classes unannounced and see this stuff for them selves. I can't work in the hosp but this can? What is wrong with this picture?
Keep your head up St Clair health students, I hope one day you are taught properly :( I'm sorry you have paid this much for what seems like nothing.

Today on my way to work, my car died in the middle of Howard. I was stressed out of my mind, knowing literally nothing about cars. I sat in my car, with my hazards on for quite some time trying to get a hold of someone to come and help me. People honked at me in frustration, while others stared and just sped past me. Thankfully, a woman stopped to ask if I was okay. I explained to her that my car just shut off and would not turn back on after I was stopped at a red light. She stopped, despite being in the middle of rush hour traffic herself, and came to help me. I don't know what she did, but my car restarted and she gave me advice I never would have thought up on my own. To the woman who stopped to help me when nobody else would, thank you so very much. I regret not getting your name and not being able to repay you. But I walked in to work just on time thanks to you, and my car has not died on me since then. Once again, thank you to the woman in the orange neon, and I wish I could repay you for your kindness.

Sincerely,
Definitely paying it forward
