Today my friend put a status wishing for a masquerade ball in Windsor. I don't know who is in charge of community events, but if there is anyone who is, and they see this, can someone please come up with a masquerade ball, or a formal ball that isn't just for high-school grad's, one for adults, or all ages, its a great idea and would give people a reason to get there fancy on.

I just bought a Canon camera just over a week ago and brought it with me to my sons first trip to Chuck E Cheese on Walker on Monday from 430-730. If found please kindly email me as not only is this camera important to me-i cant afford another one and use it daily-and it now has my sd card in it with the pics of my boys first trip to Chuck E Cheese

Our family is going through a very difficult time. My mother has been diagnosed with inoperable, incurable small cell lung cancer. She has been going through chemo for the last year to try and keep the growth to a minimum. She is unable to work now due to her terminal illness which is causing financial stress. There is severe damage to her roof which needs to be fixed because it is causing damage inside her home. I have nominated her for a program new to Canada called "No Roof Left Behind" and the winning family will get a new roof at no charge. It would be so much to her and our family.

To the great customs officer on Sunday June 22/ 14 who realized my mother was in medical distress when we were pulled into customs you did an assessment and let us go to the hospital! I thank you!!!! Now to the idiot that pulled us in. I do not thank you one bit. You were arrogant condescending and said to us that. "She does not look in distress to me" Well guess what!! she has been in the hospital since Sun afternoon and does not look like she is getting out soon. Thanks for your medical opinion!!! I was laying face down on the O/ R Table and you knew that the injections I was about to get would be quite painful in my spine, Your Name was Lauren From Hotel Dieu and you sat at the head of the table and held my hands and rubbed my arms all the while talking to me and calming me, I was shaking like a leaf and the pain was unbearable but I could walk through the gates of Hell with someone so wonderful as Yourself and tell the Devil to beat it! East windsor factory burning...tecumseh Rd east closed at food basics

I spotted something an hour ago at the outside of the mall: a senior citizen fell on the ground. A man stopped his car (in front of me) and a lady who was about to enter the mall, they stayed next to him, the lady was calling the ambulance. I felt so bad that I stopped the car too to ask them if they need anything but I couldn't because there was lot of cars behind me. I want to know how the man is feeling, I'm worried about him eventhough I don't know him. So please if someone knows anything..

I am completely disgusted with the WIndsor Star's stance of allowing ALL articles to be open to reader comments... While I fully understand and respect that healthy debate is healthy, sometimes fun to read and can be a draw to add subscriptions, some articles should be CLOSED to public comments...

To report on a serious injury or an a death of a local resident, then allow people to debate or post their "uneducated" opinions on what the individual did or didn't do result in a lose of life is nothing more that a CLASSLESS act to promote sales and attention...

Someone has lost a life, Other people have lost a friend or a family member, then they have to read or be told that other people have made an ignorant comment or judgement online, for all to see, is absolutely disgusting..

If the Windsor Star was truly a respectful source of media, they would respect the individual, family or friends of the deceased and NOT ALLOW public comments on these type of articles....

Please people, lets stand up and force the Windsor Star to make the honorable and correct decision here and stop this shameless behavior!!!
