Slow Down!!!!

To the person in the white SUV who looked to be about a 20-25 years old male, you came very close to seriously injuring or killing my kids and I. I am still shaking I'm so upset. My two children and I were crossing at the crosswalk outside Devonshire mall at the Target Entrance at 2:45 today. We were halfway across the street when you came flying by and literally came feet from hitting us. You saw us and you chose to fly past us and beat us to avoid having to wait until we crossed. You would have been waiting a lot longer had you hit us, and your life as well as ours would have been changed forever. Slow down and pay attention!!!!! You scared not only me but my children. I only wish I would have got your liscence plate.

Community Policing At Its Best!!

Two days ago the local Autism Services Inc Summer Program put out a plea for a need for a plastic pool to use for the kids to cool off in during the hot summer months. I offered to donate but unfortunately it wouldn't fit in my car! I put out my own plea for assistance in transporting them and I was overwhelmed by the response in the community to help! Here we are rolling down the street transporting TWO pools (cuz now we had a truck lol)!! CP Rail Officer "Mark"....we salute you...thanks for all you do....YOU have been spotted!!

E-bikes are vehicles too

To the women Driving the small grey car LP # ACLL- *** at the corner of Dougal and Techumseh round 2 pm today. I hope getting to the hardware store was so important as to almost hit me on my e-bike.
Making a left turn from the left hand turn lane, on to Techumseh Rd. West from Dougal, for an e-bike is like any other vehicle, I must obey the law and go left lane to left lane. I was in the process of doing this when you decided since the light was going yellow to gun your engine and swerve around me into the right lane, then swerve around the parked car, almost hitting me twice.
I have no choice, I must obey the law. If a screwdriver or something from the hardware store is that important, maybe give yourself a little extra time to get there instead of rushing like a mad women!

Chivalry to strangers isn't dead!

On Oullette Ave near the hospital, I was walking toward a doctors office to notice a guy (20's) and a woman (60's) trying to flag down a cab. As I walked by, I overheard the guy asking a couple people if they had a cab number (by this point I was already walking into a building). When I came out, I noticed they were still there, so I got my phone out to find a cab number so I could give it to them. As I got closer to them, he had flagged a cab. I witnessed him open the door for her, help her into the cab, and repeating to her 'have a great day mam!' We exchanged smiles as I walked by. YOU - the guy wearing jean shorts, red and black shoes, and a tank, waiting for a bus to come and flagged so many cabs down for a complete stranger - have been spotted!!

Chivalry is not dead! Not even for complete strangers!

From: a girl wearing light grey jeans, and a black shirt with a hot pink tank underneath, who loves seeing a guy around my age be so thoughtful and friendly to an older woman out of the good of his own heart!

Badly Behaved

I just wanted to extend a HUGE Thank You to the family at the crowded and busy Pizza Hut on Dougall Thursday evening for ruining my meal

You allowed your misbehaved 5 year old child cry (no tears) and whine at the top of his lungs for 30 minutes without disciplining him. It obviously didn't occur to you that you were at a restaurant with 6 other tables of paying customers who went out to enjoy a meal.

The behaviour that you allowed your child to continuously display may be tolerable at your own kitchen table, but you should be aware and courteous of others when you bring your child out. It seemed as though it didn't even phase you that everyone else in the restaurant was extremely bothered and disrupted by your child's screaming and whining.
Even the one and only waitress was annoyed and stressed out by your son and his disruptive display.

You could have stepped outside with him until he settled down, or better yet, cancel your order and took the child home to bed where he most likely belonged at 9:30 at night. Shame on you.

Signed… Annoyed by your lack of parenting skills.
