Some companies underestimate the power of social media! One week ago yesterday....July 10 my mother contacted Sears Canada because her washer quit working and she had bought the service/ maintenance contract with them. My mother has bought maintenance contracts for every Kenmore product she has ever bought, which is all her appliances. They have made megabucks off of her. So.....On July 10, they gave her a date for the service rep to attend her house to make the repair - on August 6.....first date available! My mother is 82 years old....and the closest laundromat to her is at least 20 km away. But apparently....they don't care! I have been on the phone with Sears....on July 11...at which time I was told to escalate by emailing them....which I did on July 11. On July 15....I had not heard from them, so I emailed them again. Nothing. On July 16 I called them Marco told me he would contact dispatch and then email or call me in an hour. Did not happen!!! July 17, I called and spoke with Maria. Maria could not find any record of my call with Marco....surprise! Maria put me on hold and talked to dispatch who of course said there was no earlier time available. She told me she would escalate my complaint (after insistence from me) and the within 24 hours I would receive a call from "Jane". Well....that didn't happen!!! So today....July 18, I called again and spoke with Annette. Annette advised me that she couldn't get anyone there any sooner...so...I asked her to escalate and she told me the group that handles complaints already had it, and they would contact me next week! So....I ask...what day next week? Oh....I can't give you a day she says....just next week. I said..there are 7 days in next week...when do you suppose they might call....by Wednesday? Oh...I can't say...then you would expect a call by that day! Really?????? So I asked for her supervisor....who is not in the office, but might be there on Monday!!!! I am NOT giving up on this one!!! I will call every day.....every hour if I have to! And....then they have the nerve to say....if she goes elsewhere for service her maintenance contract will be null and void!!!! WOW.....great customer service!!!!! I have held my temper in every conversation....I have been polite and kind since the people I am speaking with are not at fault, but enough is enough!
I just wanted to give a shout out to all the employees at Tim Hortons in Tecumseh Mall. We always have exceptional service.. Especially Sarah, who sees me and my husband in line and always asks us if we want our usual! They are all fantastic workers!!
Sometimes we all need to look up and count our blessings.
On the day of the Dirty Diva run, my sister-in-law and I thought we had a brilliant idea to place my automatic starter in a ziploc bag and in my pocket before the run! After the run and some fun, I went to get the bag out of my pocket only to discover that the bag had not sealed properly and my starter was wet and not working. Thankfully after several tries and a few phone calls, we sought the assistance of a firefighter who was volunteering at the race. A sincere thank you to John, a Kingsville firefighter, who took the time to disassemble my starter and clean it out! This allowed us to finally get back into the car an hour after the race. Despite being covered in mud from head to toe, we so grateful to get into the car and drive home!!
I am pleading for the person who found my cell phone at the waterfront parking lot today while I was picking up my Color Run race package. Please please return it, I just want my pictures of my children back. Black Galaxy S4 phone in a white/ grey otterbox case. Please, in the spirit of this page and the Color Run, please return my phone. Email slgray@gmail.com
Driving down the ECRow expressway with a friend this afternoon, July 18th, around 240pm, and noticed in the side mirror a Wolverine Freight System 53583 transport truck, practically running a white mini man off the road, trying to merge into the leftlane because of construction! The truck driver then started making obscene gestures to the drive and screaming and yelling out the window to the white van, even though it was the truck driver who almost killed these poor people in the van, because of aggressive driving, and clearly not knowing how to merge properly in a truck !!!! Eventually the truck driver moved into the right lane, once it was open and started to exit off the Howard off ramp. As he got closer to the white van, who was in the left lane, the truck driver was literally hanging out of his window, while driving his truck at the same time, screaming at the white van!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing!!! This idiot was putting everyone's life in danger, driving recklessly, hanging out a transport truck window!!!! Calm your road rage down jerk off! Not only could you have killed yourself, you could have caused an accident killing others!! And for what?! Because you don't know how to merge your transport truck! You should lose your job! Shame on you!
I was at the FRESHCO Grocery store today around 2:30 -3:00pm.. I loaded my groceries into the car and when I was close to downtown I realized I did not have my wallet. I hurried back to the grocery store hoping that my wallet was still in my cart but unfortunately it was not. I am a single Mom with a 9 month old son. Im in the process of putting my life back together and I am about to move. This is the last thing I need right now. In the wallet and all of my identification and my sons identification. I will not be able to replace anything since every single piece of identification was in that wallet. The wallet is about 8 inches long and it is black and white, 2 zippers and purchased at Walmart.. I am praying and hoping that whom ever has found it returns it to me. If you or someone you know has found my wallet I am begging and pleading to please return it to me. Even if you have spent the money please please please at least can I have the wallet back.. Thank you,
Melissa
Today I locked my keys and cell phone in the car with it running. I would like to thank Kyla from Shell gas station on Ojibway for all the help to get back into my car. I tried to give her a little something (20$) which she refused, all she said was I would hope someone helps me if i'm in same position. Thanks Kyla .... I guess there really are selfless, kind people out there like Kyla.
