Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
To the woman who almost hit my 7 year old in the face with her cart this morning because she and the man she was with were in too much of a rush to wait for all three of my children to cross the aisle behind me, because you know, what ever Walmart has on sale is far more important then the safety of a child... I want to thank you, no I didn't stutter, I want to thank you for giving me a wonderful opportunity to teach my children hands on how to deal with negative people.
When I told my son to keep coming, that people would wait for him , you nearly rammed your cart into his face. When my son looked at me startled and upset, thinking he had done something wrong, I said to him, don't worry, some people are just rude. I was reassuring him that he had done nothing wrong , as he is a very polite and kind boy , always. You then proceeded to loudly and rudely say, "I'm not being rude". To which I responded, " You nearly hit him in the face with your cart and then shoved passed and in between my 2 children." You then said , " I have grandchildren and I know how to behave around kids." I responded by saying ," You must not because you nearly hit him in the face," To which you so wonderfully responded, " I didn't hit him in the f****** face, but I am going to punch you in the face. "
First off, that is uttering a threat, let alone doing so in front of 3 young children, on top of the profanity !! Obviously, you do not know how to act in front or around children.
Secondly, to the man that was with you who thought this was all hilarious, the only thing that was hilarious, was your lack of ability to stand up and say something.
We walked away from you and my daughter, 6 , says to me " Momma, what is wrong with that woman?" Sad a 6 year old can see the fault in your actions, but you can not. I told her that some people in the world only care about themselves and don't treat other people very kindly. I also assured my 7 year old son that he didn't do anything wrong. There was more then enough time for all 3 of them to cross, he stumbled over his boots and instead of patiently waiting for a child, you acted like one, well, a poorly behaved one that is.
I really hope, you can see the error in your judgement, but I thank you for giving me the opportunity to show my children how to handle a bully. We had a long talk on why people do the things they do and what the right things to do are.
Sincerely,
One proud Momma

This morning my wife found this note stuck to our front door. When she called the number, she was told that either herself or myself answrted a phone survey about smoking in the house. She asked the person on the phone what number they called .The reply was well we called your house phone .....my wife replied we dont have a house phone we have cell phones....oh they replied ...well we have a free gift for you if youll just allow us to come in and demonstrate our air purifier .......we said no three times and they persisted......my only worry is someone getting taken in by this ploy...Noone in the house took a survey and they didnt call us ......so not being honest with me how legitimate is this really becareful folks

I went to the downtown McDonald's to buy a frappe and the drive through worker offered me an extra frappe for free. Thank you for offering it to us, made our day :)
To the young gentleman in mcdonalds on Tecumseh and droullard last night. There were two younger boys sitting together with little change spread across their table, 1 drink cup, & several ketchup packages. I didn't think much when I saw them, just thought kids just hanging out being kids.
You walked over and asked them if they were hungry and the boys face light up and said yes, you then handed them 20$ and told them to get whatever you want and to keep the change.
Good for you young man, you showed my husband and I that the younger generation Isn't all Completly horrible, you were raised right, and showed an amazing act of kindness during the holiday season.
-spotted by the older couple sitting behind you.
This morning I came up to a stop light in the east end and looking through my wallet (I'm sure everyone with kids or a hubby can relate to) I had noticed I had no change. (was in there when I went to bed I am sure...lol) So I apologized to the Goodfellow gentleman and told him I'll grab one when I go to the bank...he put the paper on my windshield and said take care...I am blown away....what a kind gesture from this nice man....
I not only went to the bank....I also went to Tim Hortons got him a coffee and gift card as well as gave him money for Goodfellows ...
There really are great people in this world...what a kind man....thank you Sir!!
