Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
To the gentleman walking at the intersection of Giles and Wayndotte at 11pm last night, who help push my car out of the snow so I could get onto Wyandotte St.
Your help was so greatly appreciated, I was just getting off my shift at the hospital and just wanted to get home and out of that blizzard!
I'm so greatful for your assistance.
You were spotted!
Two GECDSB employees, a Parks & Rec. employee, and two young men walking...
Each of you eager to extend yourself, help a stranger whose car was stuck in the snow.
Please know how much you and your efforts were appreciated.
Windsor's lucky to have you.
I would like to thank the city of Windsor bus driver (female) last night in the snow storm that was done work and still took my son to the mall so he could get home. I appreciate that so much. He was told to stay home cause of the storm but at 15 they don't listen. He was told to catch the last bus but he confused the times.
Thank u again for taking the time to make sure he was safe. A great full mother.
I just want to put the kind neighbour's in my neighbourhood on here they went out of their ways today to help us dig out and also others that were stuck!!!
I am in need for a program or someone to help clear my driveway. Physically can not get it clear. Snowed in. If there is anyone willing to help I would greatly appreciate this.
To the young couple with the little dog named Cocoa, the woman who stopped and got out of her car and the older Asian gentleman who all helped me get unstuck from the packed snow at the end of my alley: Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You didn't have to, but you stopped to help a complete stranger for nothing more than a heartfelt thanks. I feel like I should have more to say but I don't have the words to express myself any clearer. You 4 are my idea of a hero.

My husband regularly snow plows our driveway and most of the neighbour's driveways and sidewalks on our street and the entire street (because the snow plows never come down our side street) every time it snows. That alone is enough for a big wink. However, last night he went out and beyond just being a good neighbour. After the bulk of the snow hit Windsor large snow drifts started to form. One especially huge one always forms down the street from us at sandpoint beach. I left for the store and due to the conditions of the road and several vehicles stuck by the beach I had to go the long way home. When my husband asked what took so long and I explained about the people stuck in their cars he immidatley grabbed his snow blower and walked down the street with it and spent 3 and a half hours digging cars out and stayed and plowed the snow drift and riverside dr so know other cars would get stuck again. So very proud of this man and the values he teaches our children. We love you Bruce!
