Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
A few days after Princess Charlotte was born my wife sent the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge a little outfit that I made to Kensington Palace , their home in London, England. Yesterday, in the mail , she received a Thank You card from Buckingham Palace. She was so excited that they received the outfit, and I hope to see Princess Charlotte wearing it one day. I have included in the photo the Original 2 piece outfit she made for Princess Charlotte.
The back of the Thank You card reads:
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were most touched by the thoughtful gift you so kindly sent on the birth of their daughter, Princess Charlotte.
Their Royal Highnesses are extremely grateful for all the wonderful messages and gifts they have received and send you their warmest thanks and best wishes.

I am so very proud of my wife. She created the outfit in her head and then recreated it in yarn. And the Prince and Duchess were so kind as to acknowledge the gift (although that is protocol) the fact is my wife is not the head of state of any place. She is a wife and mother and she is amazing (at least to me).
If anyone is going to Art in the Park today, can you please keep an eye out for my son's prescription glasses? They were lost in the east end of the park Saturday morning. They are bright blue flex frames with a band around the back. My 2 year old can't see without them. We went to the lost and found and were told the glasses weren't something "important, like a wallet" so they refused to take our number to call us if anyone turns them in. So frustrating!
Just hoping to find our missing camera. Was last seen at Roseville Garden park Thursday June 4 around 9pm.
Attached is a picture of what the camera looks like.
It's a black Fugifilm finepix digital camera with a flip up flash on top.
If anyone happened to pick it up, we'd greatly appreciate its return. If not the camera, atleast the SD card.
Thanks so much for reading.
Have a great day!!
During the homicide investigation at brant and aylmer many officers were there for up to 10 hours. I was able to bring water and powerade to the officer blocking traffic. I felt it was the least one should do. When I returned home the next day from shopping my neighbours told me the police were at our house. I figured more canvassing there was a beautiful plant with a thank you note from the officer I brought water to. It was a great surprise and very thoughtful. Lyta. Timmerman

Every success to a much needed downtown bakery!
I worked in Dietary at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital on PRINCE RD and it was time to move to Environmental Services for more hours. Although i enjoyed working in the kitchen I would love to thank my newest coworkers in ES. They have so far taken all my breaks with me and made me feel very welcomed. I enjoy their company and the new memories we have created. Thank you !
Does anyone know if there are still piles of rail road ties laying around anywhere near the train tracks that were removed? I saw that the ones at Provincial and Walker are gone now and was wondering if they were gone everywhere.
We have recently been involved with a bullying incident and this situation needs to stop! But as a parent I don't blame the child who bullied mine. I'm a firm believer in "children learn what they live" so please parents when dealing with situations in your own life please remember that at all times you have little ears listening to you and little eyes watching...."it is easier to build a child up than it is to repair a broken adult" So I think if we truly want bullying to stop we need to start with the adult. So please parents when you are reprimanding your children choose your words wisely and if we all started taking responsibility for our children's action instead of going on the defence before the whole story has been heard maybe this world might be a little more enjoyable for our children to grow up in.....just my 2 cents
