More then just a locksmith

It was hard to have you enter my home. I had just lost my purse and I had to start over. My keys, everything was in there and to replace it all is expensive. My house keys and car keys were in that little bag, I wrongly thought it was my "whole life." You entered my home to change the locks to my home. I was stressed out. Unbeknownst to you, I just got my car back the day before. Almost a weekly occurrence of it breaking down with quite expensive repairs. You didn't know I was a single mum pulling my way through nursing school. You didn't know any of this. I asked of you can make a key for my car ( i didn't have a spare) and you said it was several hundred dollars for the process. I cried. Stress is a terrible thing, but so is deception. You gave me a hug and said it will be ok. You said that money is replaceable .... health isn't. You noticed toys and a backpack around my house and mentioned my child. She's important. It's true. She's my life.

He left after the keys were made, gave me a discount and went on his way.

Sometimes we have to ride the lows to appreciate the highs. He gave me perspective on what's really important in life, my health, my daughter and so much more. I am truly blessed.

Thank you Kirk, I was meant to see you today.

Today I was on the 1A bus and a woman exited the rear exit where she tripped and fell hard onto the pavement and her groceries smashed and scattered everywhere. I wanted to rush out and help the poor woman but the bus doors closed shut right as it happened. I thought the bus driver was going to ignore it and keep driving but he got off of the bus and helped pick up her things and ensure that she was okay. I just wanted him to be acknowledged because he could have easily pretended not to notice so it wouldn't mess up his schedule but instead he was kind. Also, later that night coming back on the 1A bus, there was now a female driver who thanked each person who got off the bus and told them to have a good night. Something so subtle made my day because the previous day there was a female driver who was the nastiest driver I'd encountered so far living in Windsor. Yesterday's driver was rude, asked people to hurry up when they weren't even being slow, and she even began speeding up as a man with a walker struggled to find a seat before he fell down. A small word or act of kindness goes a long way and I just wanted these people to be "recognized".

Dude where's my car!

Beware of the person in the picture below. (Norman McKelvie)
He is a petty thief, and con man with several felony convictions from BC to Ontario
He is currently employed as a handyman working under the table for A Touch of Glass in Windsor with Lee Wilson who pays him cash, while he collects social assistance. Do not let this man into or near your home, as he will steal anything of value not nailed down. He is not to be trusted.
This guy stole my 1998 Saturn SC coupe (black with limo smoked windows) then disappeared, changed his number, and I have never seen him again. There is a "3" in the lower left corner of the rear window, and the VIN is 1G8ZF1284WZ219069.
I took him into my home, fed him breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Bought him smokes and gave him money when ever he needed it. In return he stole from me.
If you see him or the car (it is somewhat rare) please call Windsor Police immediately! Do not confront him. He is a dangerous offender.

Ebike Wipeout

Today at around 10AM I took my e bike to get me and my boyfriend coffee/ tea before work and was driving home and at Drouillard and Wyandotte I wiped out and hit a curb. There's was a man with two dogs who waited with me until my boyfriend came and also picked up my e bike for me cause my knee and foot were pretty torn up. A older couple pulled into the parking lot of the old church and came over to make sure and several other people driving by made a point of stopping or pulling over to check and make sure I was okay. I was a little freaked out cause I was sure I was going to get hit by a car behind me or get hurt worse than I had. I just wanted to sincerely say thank you to everyone who stopped and checked on me it was really nice to see how many total strangers stopped cause I was on the sidewalk crying. Really warmed my heart. Thank you all so so much it didn't go unnoticed !!

Bike Wipeout

today I was biking to school to meet up with my group and my bike tire hit something and my wheel started to go off balance, as much as I tried to stop the inevitable - I wiped out in front of the Tim Hortons on Crawford and Wyandotte. From all the people who were around and walking/ driving by, one man waiting for his bus came over to see if I was OK. He took my bike off the road and put it on the sidewalk and stayed a little to make sure I was fine to go on my way. I really appreciate this gesture! I was really scared to think my laptop broke so my mind was in a different place! I know you had to go catch your bus, but I just wanted you to know your gesture was greatly appreciated (if you see this).

I let my 9 year old cat FIFA outside last night (Sept. 22) and have not seen him since, it is very uncharacteristic of him to not return the first moment the door is opened in the morning. This morning he did not show.

I am asking all of you to please look out for him, he is not a normal looking domestic house cat he is a Maine-coon and is very large (weighes anywhere from 15-20 lbs.) He is a very fluffy and hairy cat with big green eyes. He has a very worn Harley-Davidson Collar on with his name tags, PLEASE DO NOT take my cat in unless you are planning on calling me to come pick him up.

IF YOU HAPPEN TO SEE HIM PLEASE CALL ME IMMEDIATELY @ 519 982 7924
I CANT LIVE WITHOUT HIM I JUST LOST MY DOG ROCKY THAT I HAD MY WHOLE LIFE TWO YEARS AGO AND I CANT LOSE ANOTHER ONE OF MY PETS SO PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!
Me and my family are very distraught :'(

FreshCo staff

A special thank you to FreshCo employee Sherry. I was not feeling well yesterday and on my way home from work I stopped to get soup. She took the extra time to bag my food for me even though there was a line up of people. Something so small but yet made my day. It was a BIG help for me and I just wanted to get home. Sherry - you have been spotted and just want to say thank you so much for the amazing customer service you provided to me. :)
