Tonight I noticed our city workers (garbage/ recycle/ yard waste ) , I apologize for not knowing the proper title, these men that I came across this evening were working so hard. I have never noticed before just how hard these men and women work to keep our city clean. It was very late today that these hard working men came to pick up yard waste. On my way home this evening I noticed a truck , my friend was driving, we couldn't get by, as we came to a halt I got to witness the amount of physical labor these city workers go through to get rid of our yard waste, we left to go down another street. On the way I realized how much yard waste each home had, I then came to the assumption they were working over time to clean all the waste up. The next street we turned down had two city trucks, 4 hard working men helping each other get this job done. I don't know if you will see this, or remember, but I rolled down my window and as we drove by I told you , your doing a great JOB! Which you thanked me kindly. I want to give some thanks to all city workers who work VERY hard to keep our city clean. Shout out to overtime, even with the repetitive action of picking up bags or garbage pails to dump our waste, you still smiled when I commented on your good work. Now that's amazing "customer service ' !! Lol
It was about a week ago, I was leaving food basic downtown by the beer store. It was one of our cold rainy days. I want to let the kind man, that lent a helping hand know how amazing he is. I don't know your name, but I sure do appreciate your kindness. I was with a friend, she was driving. We were pulling out, as we reached the exit near the beer store, traffic backed up due to an elderly man pulling a LOT of shopping carts. They were all tied together and he was struggling to pull them up the exit ramp to the parking lot. While I believe one person went around the stopped car in front of you we waited. I wanted to help , I just had surgery and couldn't physically do it, it was sad to watch him struggle. You jumped out of the passenger side, and pulled that huge line of shopping carts up for him, I could see the relief on his face when you did this. I was moved. Thank you for taking the time to help. Your truly a wonderful caring and thoughtful person for doing this. I hope you come across this and take a moment to reflect on your kind actions , feel good about what you did. You're one in a million that would actually do this. Many , like me, have thought about it, but putting kind thoughts into action is a whole new level of kindness. In case you haven't been told lately, you are appreciated, you are thoughtful , kind, compassionate and giving. Have an amazing day and may your kind actions be noticed, appreciated and maybe one day paid back.
We took my 3yr old daughter & 6mth old son to see Santa today at Devonshire mall (Nov 17th) just after 10am. There was only one person ahead of us. My daughter was super excited to see Santa, right up until we got in line. She then didn't want to go up, was being shy, arms folded... the awesome elf Cookie was so patient with her, talking to her, trying hard to make her feel comfortable. She went on to say she remembered her from last year, how big she's grown, etc. The people ahead of us left, my daughter still didn't want to go in. We finally convinced her to sit beside my husband with Santa on the other side, husband holding our son too. After getting those pictures, she felt comfortable enough to sit by herself for her own. Then did one more set with Santa holding our son! Went above & beyond! The other 2 elves working were amazing as well. We have seen the same Santa all 3 years we've been going so far & he has been great each time!! She was nervous last year as well & he spent time to talk to her, give her a high five & let her hold his reindeer for the pictures too. I just want to thank you for taking a semi-stressful situation & making it to be an amazing experience!!!
(The Santa is the one with a bit of grey in his beard. Wonderful man!) #DevonshireMall #SpottedinWindsor
To the person who paid for my order at the Tim Hortons on Tecumseh road next to Red Lobster at about 5:20pm today, thank you. I was having a bad day and your act of kindness put a smile on my face.
This is a spotting that i read on the news. This was my Facebook post and I'm sharing it because i want the Toronto people to see it as well. I'm disgusted and i hope the city of Toronto is disgusted as well
No! Not okay! What is wrong with people! If you agree with an act like this because of the terrorism that's been happening, then take your head out of your ass and stop being racist! When you act like this, you are being the SAME as the terrorist INDIVIDUALS! There are bad PEOPLE in the work NOT bad CULTURES! You can NOT lump together people of the same culture and region and blame them for the actions of others! This woman could ( and most likely) was against the killings that have been happening and now you've terrorized her and her family! Great job.... So by YOUR logic we should now beat up every Toronto resident because since YOU terrorized this woman all other Toronto people are terrorizers as swell.. right? DO NOT START THESE HATE CRIMES OR THIS WAR WILL NEVER BE SOLVED AND HUMANITY WILL BE LOST.
