Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
While out for dinner with three friends this evening at Kelsey's we were approached by two little girls and their mother
We were they handed our dinner bill showing paid in full with a note on the back wishing us a happy holiday and a Merry Christmas, You left very quickly and we didn't get the opportunity to give you a proper thank you
While I am sure you did not do it for the recognition we wanted to acknowledge your kindness and the wonderful example you're setting for your children showing them the joy of giving both during the Christmas holidays and the rest of the year
Your kindness has inspired us to follow your lead and continue to pay it forward
Good people make good things happen and we wish you and your family all the best and a very Merry Christmas
I want to shout out the young boy, about 5-7yrs old, with brown hair and a blue coat that sat near my friends and I at Costco today, about 6:30-7pm. He sat patiently while his parents got his food, and then when my friend dropped her purse (twice) he ran over right away to pick it up and place it on the table for her. It was such a simple act, yet it is so rarely seen. Later on, his mother noticed an infant climbing out of their seat in the family's cart and right away notified the parents. It was clear that the boys kindness came from loving parents that raised him with respect and manners! I hope if his parents see this, that they reward this kid with a little something special! From the girls sitting at the table in front of you :)
I am fairly new working at Shoppers Drug Mart on Grand Marais and Curry. After several years, I have had my fair share of customers, in all different varieties. However, I have to commend the clientele at this store, for I leave work every day filled with satisfaction for the people are so friendly, trusting, and a real joy to serve. Thank you to any of you who are reading this for you have renewed my passion for my career, and my belief in the goodness of people.
To the really nice man who was friendly with my one year old daughter and I in the line up of the subway in macs in Harrow this evening, I just wanted to thank you for the generous surprise of having paid for my sub, plus six cookies as a treat !! If I had known you did that I would have said thank you for sure, I was going to but I didn't see you in the parking lot when I left, so I hope you see this, and know I appreciate it! Truly appreciated it, a simply kind act that really made my week! You have been spotted!
Thank you to the nurses at Met hospital in Labour and Delivery. When I go in there they are always so nice and helpful. Being a first time mom is tough when you're not sure what to expect. Sometimes I have to go in there for peace of mind. They always make you feel welcome and answer all your questions. They always tell you to come in when you have any concerns day or night. So THANK YOU for everything you do!
Today at around 11am at Superstore on Walker, a gentleman stopped me as I was shopping and apologized to me for all the backlash and generalization that Muslims are receiving. He was so thoughtful and sincere in his words and I was so speechless all I could do is say thank you as I was in tears. With everything that is going on around the world, his words gave me hope. Sir, I don't know if you'll read this but I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. You don't know how much your words meant to me.
This morning around 9:30, I pulled up at the Timmies drive-through downtown and joined that long line of cars. When I finally got to the window, I found that the lady in front of me paid for my order! She said that I seemed stressed and hoped that I have a good day... I was genuinely taken aback by her kindness. I actually drove off teary eyed... I know that what she did may seem small- but you have no idea. Last month I had to bury my daughter and this is my first week back to work. Every morning has been filled with anxiety as I struggle to channel my "normal". This just gave me pause. It brought me back to the realization that you're really not alone- regardless of what you're going through. There are people out there who don't know you or your story but who care nonetheless. So THANK YOU. To the lady in the black, large pickup that made my entire day.
I will be paying it forward every chance I get Xo.
I'd like to say thank you to the ladies in the silver Sebring at Tim Hortons on ottawa and Kildare this morning for paying for my order.
I paid your kindness forward.
Merry Christmas and God Bless.
