Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Today, Fri Dec 11th, one of the young men working on the roofs in border city coop had an unfortunate accident and fell off the roof while working. An Ambulance came and took him away and was told he went immediately into surgery when he got to the hospital. I just want to send positive thoughts to you and your family and I hope to hear that you made a full recovery.
SPOTTED: A young girl who spent her morning walking around downtown with Christmas gift bags giving them to homeless people. All I got a chance to see was that she was in a black coat and had blonde hair. I saw her give one homeless man a gift while saying merry Christmas and then sat and had a conversation with him and his dog. After she left I asked the man if he knew her and he said no but the card said her name is Kristina but no last name. He referred to her as the angel he has been praying for. When I asked what was in the gift bag he showed me a $20 mcdonald gift card, a pair of gloves, 2 pairs of socks, and a hat. What a beautiful act of kindness during the Christmas season. You inspired me to do something kind so I paid for the man's coffee behind in the tim hortins drive thru on my way home from work. I know it's not a big gift but every bit helps right? Thank you Kristina. I hope you see this post
Today was incredible! Sgt Andrew Moxley and I (Sgt Matt D'Asti) were assisting with the distribution of over 5500 lbs of donated food and toys from our annual stuff a cruiser event. We took a break and attended a Tim Horton's drive through (6605 Tecumseh Rd E). When we drove up to pay for our order we were told that the woman in front of us (Silver Pick Up) paid. We got out of our marked vehicle to speak to her to tell her she did not have to do that. She insisted on it "for the things police do in our community." We decided to pay it forward and paid for the vehicle behind us. We both want to thank you once again for your random act of kindness. THANK YOU! You have been spotted! :) And a huge thanks to the community for your support of our stuff a cruiser event. 5 cruisers and a record of over 5500lbs of food. Windsor, you always come through.
I received a call from the OPP yesterday afternoon that my father had been in a car accident and was at the hospital.....I immediately went to the emergency dept to be with him....we spent all afternoon and evening waiting to be admitted for tests....while waiting at the hospital I received a phone call from a gentleman named "John Darling or dowling" (I apologize if I am wrong. .it was hard to hear while in the emergency room) ....he was calling to find out how my father was. I immediately thought he was a friend of my father's checking on him. .. it turns out he was the first person at the scene of the accident and he just wanted to make sure my father was okay....i was shocked and touched at the same time that this man took the time to follow up with me...it was very heartwarming to hear that someone that didn't even know my father wanted to make sure he was okay..and took the time to follow up later that evening ... if you read this John please know that you put a smile on my dad's face and brought tears to my eyes..thank you for being so caring ...I hope you have a wonderful Christmas
To the construction worker, on Wyandotte street east, who lovingly wrapped a deceased kitten, in his sweater, and removed it off the street, to avoid further decimation, please know, someone saw you... You, sir, are a real man.
I was walking in Devonshire Mall around the photo booth by sears. I noticed a picture printed out. Someone forgot the picture.
Would like this to get back to the owner! It's too cute not to. Please share
Tan and grey medium sized dog running full speed down middle of Isabelle Place this morning at 8:15. It looks like a wolf/ coyote. Checked the lost pet sites and saw nothing that matched. Just trying to help if anyone has lost a dog. It continued running full speed down Isabelle Place towards Tranby.
thank you so much to the 2 ladies at the food court at the Devonshire Mall today. I left my purse on the seat...with money, credit card and all my ID in it. I went back about 15 mins. Later and the ladies had found it and given it to security. So nice to see that honest people do exist, you made my day. I was very stressed when I realized I left it and thought for sure it was never to be seen again. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
