Today me and my daughter were at Walmart on Dougall and I spotted a black purse and a cart so I handed it into customer service I hope whoever lost it sees this and it gets returned to you happy holidays made me feel good I hope it gets returned to you.
My poor 87 year old mom with altzheimers has lost her purse and all it's belongings in the Lasalle area, we believe at Shoppers Drug mart or Zehrs on Malden Road. You may keep the cash but please find it in your heart to return the rest of its contents to save us a lot of time and energy trying to replace all her cards and identification.I know it's Christmas and you will do the right thing. If you know of someone that has either taken it or found it please contact us and make my very upset, emotional and anxious mother feel at ease. Thank You and God Bless.
Today at the Toys'R'Us on howard ave in windsor I was looking for a drum set for christmas but there were none on the floor. I asked Michael behind the counter at the electronics department if there were any in stock for boys. He checked in the overflow areas for the drum set but didn't see any so he took the time to check in the back for it. He came back to notify me that there were none and they were discontinued so they wouldn't be getting any more in but told me of another set that was smaller but in black not blue but still had all the same pieces. He then went on a hunt to look for the drum set and found it stuffed in the back of the overflow area. Just a big thanks to him and his "out of the way and over the top" effort he had toward finding the item and helping us any way he could even though the store was busy during this time of year.
We went to visit Santa after hours tonight, Sophia was already tired as she had a short nap today meaning things would either go amazing OR be a train wreck. I dreaded going and the entire time put a smile on my face knowing she wasn't going to sit with him and prayed that there wouldn't be a meltdown.
We got to the mall a little early, went in and got our number, it was nice and calm. I was still on patrol, scanning, worrying, making up 25 scenarios in my head of things that could set her off and go wrong. Before we knew it our number was up and it was Sophia's turn to see Santa, they asked "how can we make this a good visit for her?" I gave a list of helpful tips and they followed every single one.
Again it was awesome!!!
But that wasn't what made this trip special, it was what Santa said to me that made me realize how great of a trip we had tonight.
After about the 11th time of me saying "sorry" to the staff for Sophia running around and refusing to sit Santa walked over and told me "stop saying sorry!" He told me "you have nothing to be sorry for, she's a wonderful little girl and quite well behaved." He also went on to tell me to relax and enjoy her the way she is because she's perfect.
Thank you Santa!!
You. Are. Awesome!!!
You made me realize what a successful trip tonight was, we might not be able to do things the conventional way, but our girl is happy and that's a win.
Signed,
One Happy Autism Mommy
Thank you to the individual who put my daughter's My Little Pony bracelet and ring in the Superstore lost & found.
My daughter took them off to wash her hands & left them on the bathroom counter. She was so disappointed when we went back & they weren't still on the counter. We walked down to the customer service area & asked if anyone had turned them in. At the bottom of the lost & found bin was the bracelet & ring. My daughters face lit up which made us all smile in the room on a busy Sunday afternoon.
Although both pieces are cheap metal & plastic they were an early birthday gift & they mean the world to her. So thanks again to the individual who turned them in.
Overworked this holiday season, you always have a smile. Both my kids love you and instantly just seeing you brings a smile to their faces. Today on our toys r us trip, you were there. In the lego isle, just being your amazing self. You took the time to chat with my children, you kept his lego box safe as we browsed the store. Thanks for being you. It shows and translates into your work. Merry Christmas this season, from the future hostage negotiator. :)
Thank you to the kind folks who paid for my breakfast at Jerry and Jenny's Diner this morning! You can imagine my surprise when I went up to the cashier to settle my bill! Hope you are having a great Christmas season and I also hope that you see this. Thanks again!
I live on Howard Ave right off Erie St. Tonight I went out to get something from my car parked in the back ally. I surprised a young man lurking around mine and my neighbors car- he jumped out of his skin when he saw me. I watched him walk away briskly and kept looking back at me. I thought this was really suspicious. I rooted for what I needed in my car and looked around to see if the young man was still around. If I didn't see him again I wouldn't have thought much of the incident but I happened to see him peering at me from behind a dumpster. When he saw me see him he turned away quickly and started walking away again. I watched after him and noticed he joined a group of two other young men hidden in the shadows in the ally by the Italia Bakery. I realized then that they were obviously looking to steal from cars/ backyards in the area. I called non emergency police to report suspicious activity/ what I saw and watched from my window (obviously.) Police were there within 5-10 mins and the guys were still there. The police spent about 20-30 mins talking to them and from what I could tell took them away in the car.
Just a warning to those in the Little Italy area!! (And everywhere) Lock your cars and homes and backyards. Especially around the holidays don't hide gifts in the car, etc!!
