Just wanted to say thank you to whomever stole a FedEx package off my steps on church st that was full of gifts for my 2 year old daughter , thanks alot for ruining my daughters Christmas you are the real life Grinch!

I want to take the time out and thank Kennedy Highschool my son came home yesterday with a 25 dollar gift certificate for Taco Bell and today a 100 dollar gift card for Fresh Co! I am so blessed because I have been struggling lately being off work due to illness! This will help me and my sons out tremdously we are so appreciative of this! Thank you so much! WARNING: I received a text today from, 333330000 claiming to be RBC bank and that for safety reasons my bank account had been placed on hold. I was directed to a certain website where I was asked for my personal information. I immediately contacted RBC bank and they informed me they do not send out text messages and this was one of the latest scams to have people give their personal information which then could be use to get access to the account. Please be careful and trust your instincts when something does not feel right.

I want to send a BIG Thank you to Davis School. This year my family hit a big financial problem and we wouldn't have been able to have a Christmas because of it. At the very last minute Davis staff went out of their way and helped my family. So thank you to Davis staff for everything you have done for my family.

I've recently become a single parent and this is the first Christmas I'm solely financially responsible for. My son went into class yesterday and there was a huge bag of gifts that had been delivered from 'Santa'. Most of what was on his Christmas list was in the bag. I cried seeing the joy in his face and these presents weren't cheap at all. I don't know who you are, or what organization you run or how you knew we needed the help but from the bottom of my heart, I thank you.

Driving north on Matchette this morning approaching Prince Rd. As I sat in traffic waiting for the light, I heard an ever-familiar whistle of a Crossing Guard. Just as the light was about to change, I saw an incredible sight. An amazing Crossing Guard in a full-blown Santa suit, beard, boots and all, sporting the Crossing Guard vest and stop sign. The kids were engaged for sure once on the sidewalk, including high-fives and waves. Such a nice thing to see in the morning. Kudos to this gentleman who gets the meaning of the season and passes it on! Made my day!

To the crossing guard at Prince and Tecumseh this morning December 16, you are fantastic! You were dressed as Santa Claus suit this morning, and were watching and waving excitedly to every car with children in it. My children LOVED it! You have been spotted. Merry Christmas!!
