Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
This happened a few weeks ago but I never knew about spotted until today, so I wanted to share it now if I can. I was pacing in the superstore entrance while on the phone with my boyfriend trying to be calm after he told me he got into a car accident. I was not in tears yet, but I was getting to that point. Worried about him and staying on the phone with him until the ambulance showed up where he was (on his way back from toronto) a lady was standing there just staring at me as I stood there pacing back and forth. I would turn my head and peek back and see her still looking at me. Before I hung up on him I asked if I can meet him someehere but the roads weren't great so he didn't want me to drive. I hung up and was getting emotional because I was told he was being taken to the London Hospital and his arm and leg had cuts and he was bleeding. At this point I just wanted to get into my car and leave. This same lady who had been staring at me the whole time was still there and made it obvious she was still looking at me.she finally spoke and said I just want to make sure you are OK, I heard you talking and your conversation sounded very bad and you sounded worried. I just wanted to stay here incase you needed anything. I looked at her not realizing I actually wanted someone to ask me what's wrong so I can talk to someone with all the thoughts going through my head. I told her my boyfriend got into a car accident and I'm worried about him and now I have to wait to hear from him when he gets to the hospital. She asked me if I mind if she stays with me while I wait for the call, maybe we can grab a coffee or something. I told her I needed to do some grocery shopping and she said she would like to join me. This lady walked up and down every isle I went down and didn't do any shopping herself. Instead she was asking me about my boyfriend and when I met him. She asked me if I had any kids and talked about me child with me. She brought up Christmas and if I was done buying presents. Pretty much anything to get me thinking about something else instead of my boyfriends accident. I introduced myself and she did also saying everyone calls her grandma but her name was Tracy. I finished shopping and paid for my groceries the whole time Tracy was with me. She said she would like to go to Starbucks and grab a coffee if I still felt up to it a d I agreed. Almost 2 hours have passed and finally got a call from my boyfriend saying he is OK and his brother was going to pick him up and bring him home. He got stitched up and should be released in the next couple hours. We were sitting at Starbucks at this time and Grandma had just started telling me how she got her grandchildren gift cards because it was so hard for her to shop like she used too. After I got off the phone we finished our drinks and she stood up and hugged me as she walked with me to the car. I'm a 26 year old woman and this lady was 67. I never thought anyone would care enough to do what she did, especially to a complete stranger. I met you once and I love you so much and wish you the best in 2017. Thank you grandma
To the lady that was in the silver car that was rear ended in the turning lane of Walker Road and Provincial road in Windsor at 3:50pm on Tuesday, December 27th, we have the license plate of the person that hit you. Contact for information.
To the wonderful couple who were at Jerry and Jenny's Diner in Tecumseh last Monday (December 19th) around 11 am. Thank you so much for being our secret Santa's and paying for our breakfast. We were completely speechless and humbled. It was such a beautiful and unexpected gift. We wish we could have thanked you in person for your heart warming gesture. It truly is amazing how God places angels in our path. We hope and pray for the very best to both of you! May you be abundantly blessed for the kindness and thoughtfulness that you have shown us. With Warmest Regards, The Mother and 2 Daughters :)
I want to thank the triage nurse at met last night who was amazing and kind. A new mom with a 7 week old with a fever was treated with such respect and kindness by this nurse it was heartwarming. You took the time, in a very busy emergency to walk her through signs to be worried about. Your understanding and compassion for her was appreciated! You have been spotted!
To the 2 ladies who spent their Christmas Evening driving around Windsor handing out Tim Hortons Gift Cards as a token of appreciation to all the EMS workers tonight, we thank you very much for your kindness! It does not go un-noticed and we cannot thank you enough for taking time out of your holiday to recognize paramedics!
Thanks to the woman who paid for our coffee at tim Hortons at manning and 42 Dec 24. She also paid for the car behind us. To this generous lady, thanks so much!!
Gabrielle's fine furniture for calling back the delivery truck so I can have a refrigerator delivered to my home the same day I ordered it. I was hosting Christmas Eve and my Fridge compressor broke 2 days before my party which caused me to panic. I called the store and Linda the salesperson was amazing. The delivery drivers were incredible at my house taking the time to set up the refrigerator properly even though the delivery caused them to work late. Their customer service reminded me how great it is to purchase an item from independent retailers. Thank you Gabrielle's.
