Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
We were in London for a mini vacation with our two kids ages 5 and 3. We stopped for lunch at the McDonalds on Wellington road near commissioners and after lunch I went up to order my kids each an ice cream. The lady working named Julie who took my original order came over and asked my kids if they wanted to make their own ice cream! She took them behind the counter and they help make their own ice cream! Then to my surprise they made us each one too and she paid for our ice creams! It was the nicest thing I have experienced in a long time and my kids loved it! Thank you for such a kind gesture it made our trip!
On Tuesday, June 30, at approx 3:45 pm, I was involved in a terrible accident (head on collision) on hwy 3 heading west to Windsor. There were 5 cars involved and many witnesses. I was the driver in the silver dodge caravan. Wanted to thank the many wonderful people who raced over to my van to see if they could help. There were the two young women driving the Honda, who were also struck, the nurses, the firefighter from Kingsville who kept me company until help came, the responding firefighters from Essex and Kingsville, EMS responders and OPP Officer Kyle Bildfeld. I can't thank you enough for all your help and fast thinking. Many thanks!

I would like to say thank you to the driver of a white van that was in line on the bridge around noon on Canada Day. My husband and I were in line at the customs booth for over an hour. When we had enough waiting and tried to switch lines this driver was the only person that was willing to let us cut in along side with the couple ahead of us.
I know this doesn't seem like a big thing but after waiting so long this act of kindness really turned our day around.
Thanks a million!
A huge thanks to the auxiliary officer with the camera during the parade today for helping my grandma get back on the wheelchair after she tipped over. You Rock ! Sorry I was overwhelmed at the time and didn't get a chance to thank you then, hope you spot this.
Today just shortly after 12 noon, the fire alarm system in my building went off. A fire truck was immediately dispatched to the scene. They made sure the tenants were safe and in no immediate danger of a real fire. Then waited patiently outside ( for almost an hour ) until management finally arrived for them to be able to access the fire system. I just wanted to personally say thank you to the four firemen for your service today. You've been spotted !!
The lady who wears her heart on her sleeve :)
Happy Canada day to us!! Almost 150 years old, canada is still just a spring chicken, on the Global Scale. But I loved hearing all about the Canadian Pride all around Windsor. So many flags up, fireworks soon, people showing their love for this GREAT Country. I'm proud to be a Canadian today!!
Thank you to Stephan from Aquabrass technical services. I had a faulty chef's faucet that was purchased over 5 years ago with a lifetime warranty. Not only did Stephan decide to replace the entire old faucet with a new one (not just the faulty part), he delivered the new one from Toronto, on Canada Day! I appreciate the great customer service! Everyone should be aware of the companies that go above and beyond for their customers.
I'm glad to see amazing officers out there. During the Canada parade Infront of the pawn shop inbetween parent and marentette there was a young girl that was crying due to her balloon popping. I saw from the start this very tall officer looking all over the place for a balloon and once he found one he rushed over and gave it to her which put a end to the girls crying and left her with a big smile. I'm glad to be Canadian and glad to live in Windsor due to this. Way to go windsor police
