Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Homesense customer who found a credit card on the floor of the store on Sunday and immediately turned it in to customer service. I thought I was in serious trouble when I reached my next destination and discovered it missing, as I had no other means of paying for things for the days it would take to replace it. I am so very grateful my Visa card was found by someone honest! Bless you, and I pray Karma brings you something lovely in return!
I was out to Home Depot to look for a oven bake element but they didn't have the specific one I needed so the employee mentioned to go to Appliance Depot on Tecumseh. I saw the doors were open and couple employees were just outside loading a truck. I waited inside till they came back. He noticed the old element I had in hand and said I'm in need of one. Funny thing was I had no idea they were closed officially on Sundays . He went ahead and allowed me to purchase the element I needed he had in Stock and I Thank Him very Much for helping me out even tho it wasn't an actual open sales day. Great above and beyond customer service.
Thanks to the kind young woman who was walking in the industrial section of London (near the airport) this afternoon.
She was nice enough to get out her cell phone to look up directions on how I could access the Westbound 401 to the Windsor area so that I could get home to my husband who was anxiously awaiting my return. I enjoyed passing through your city and arriving home a little late, but safe! Time for a GPS, a cell phone or at least a map, I think!
Like to give a big shout out to the staff of Franco's at Banwell for their understanding and consideration yesterday. We had been sitting by the deathbed of our mother when we had come in to grab a pizza; while there she passed and my brother in law was called back before it was ready. Their wonderful staff not only refunded his money without being asked but their chef came out and offered his condolences 😊 We as a family want to thank you so much.
I was walking from a bus stop in the rain today (Thursday) when I slipped on the pavement and ripped my knee open for the 2nd day in a row.
Â
I walked into the Taco Bell and asked them for some help and they were all very Kind and cleaned me up.
Â
As I was sitting at the table trying to call someone to pick me up another Costomer went up to the Staff members who helped me. They gave them hell for helping me with my injury.
Â
Saying that they shouldn't have, and they should have told me to go home because people were eating.
He also told them he witnessed me fall
(He did nothing to help me)
Â
While this customer was still yelling at the staff for helping me another Tall Bald man walked up and stood up for me and the staff members stating.
Â
"Are you seriously giving these people a hard time because they helped this poor girl who is clearly hurt badly"
Â
So thank you to him for his kindness as well.
Â
I have a mild case of Cerebral Palsy which seems to be getting worse as I get older and causes me to lose my balance more easily and fall
I also walk with a limp on my right side that I can't control.
Â
I was unable to walk home after injuring my knee, so I walked to the closest place I knew that would have a First Aid Kit.
Â
I'm sorry this was upsetting to one of their customers but I am truly Greatful for the Kindness of the staff and to the man who stood up and said something to the guy who had a problem with me being there.
Â
I get laughed at and honked at a lot as I walk down the street because people are ignorant.
Â
Someone honking at me and yelling "Learn how to Walk" on Wednesday was how I had fallen and injured this knee the first time in a 24hr time period.
Â
So it is nice to see that there are still kind people in a world where I am typically teased and laughed at on a daily basis.
Â
I'd hoped this would lessen now that I am in my late 20s but unfortunately some people never grow up I guess.
Â
Thanks Again to the Taco Bell Staff in East Windsor and to the Kind Man who stood up to the "Bully"
There was a gentleman in the store in an electric wheelchair with obvious disabilities. One of the young male employees stopped and said he had not seen him for a while and asked how he was doing. He then asked if he needed any help and the gentleman ( who was a bit difficult to understand) said yes. This young man and another young male employee followed him to the section where he needed items and patiently helped him. I shop here quite often and have always found the employees to be friendly and helpful and this just confirmed it tonight !!
To the lady driving the navy blue SUV around 3:50pm on the #3 today, you are an impatient, careless driver. Today I was headed to Windsor with my 2yr old son, when you decided to cut me off when trying to take the Manning Rd exit. But when you decided to cut in front of me from the other lane, you realized you were driving way to fast and slammed on your brakes. Which then caused me to slam on my brakes, to only miss you by inches. If it weren't for my quick reaction, there would have been an accident. I was the one laying down the horn, hopefully you realized in the instant you were in the wrong. You were in such a rush to get in front of me, why?? Just a news flash, the #3 is not a race track. A lot of people these days are in such of a rush, they don't realize what their actions can do. If you were driving in the right hand lane and waited literally 5 seconds, you would have made your exit without cutting someone off. I thank my lucky stars that my son and I were ok. And that no other driver was involved or injured.
Please know the rules of the road, always check your blind spot and most importantly, SLOW DOWN! There's no need to be in such a rush. The #3 is not a race track. Arriving late and alive is much better then not arriving at all!
You were spotted!
Last night, I was out with my boyfriend enjoying a night downtown after work. It was around 2:30 am when we started to make our way home, but we stopped in front of a building on University to talk about something. Because of how my boyfriend was standing in front of me while I was leaning against the building, a woman pulled over and asked me if I was okay and wanted to make sure that I wasn't in any sort of distress. I couldn't be anymore grateful that she stopped, had I been in an unfavorable situation, she could have prevented something horrible. You could end up being someone's saving grace, never change. Your act of kindness and concern didn't go unnoticed, you've been Spotted!
