Still amazing people in this world

Last night me an my family went out to dinner at gilligan's on walker road. That is my boys favorite restaurant. We were enjoying everything about our night out as a family, giggling, playing games an eating good food. People would look at us an just smile, they knew we were just having a great time. After a great dinner we proceeded to go pay for our meal,an the waitress said i need to have your bill please an have a great night. Our bill was 70$, i just stood there an didn't understand. She then said this lovely couple had paid for our bill. I was so shocked . I couldnt thank them enough, out of all the people in the restaurant they picked us. Im so happy to see that there are amazing people still in this world. To the couple that paid for our dinner, you made our night even more memorable.

Man collapses

Friday March 1, my husband was at fresh co on Wyandotte and Laporte. He collapsed in the parking lot, a wonderful lady ran in the store and got some firemen who happened to be shopping. I want to thank you all, unfortunately he did not make it, but I'm glad he wasn't alone at the end. Thank you again.

So I'm at Costco today in Windsor walking through the parking lot. I'm walking up the isle from my parking spot to the entrance.
This lady is at the back of her SUV with her huge box on a trolley, and the back hatch open. All I catch is the man who is beside her say something to the effect that it was good timing he came out when he did, so he could help her, seeing he is parked right next to her. Like I said, I was just walking by, but I saw him proceed to help the lady load this huge box into her SUV, and I heard her thank the man. I just thought that was sweet, and it put a smile on my face. Kindness, pass it on.

Thank You

I want to thank a few people here. On Wed night I had to call 911, My husband was having some heart issues. Windsor EMS service arrived and they were amazing. I wish I had gotten their names, but the female, she was so good inserting the IV into my husband (he is deathly afraid of needles) that he didnt have time to react. Then at Hotel Dieu Ouellette Campus the medical staff were awesome. My husband was seen to quickly, medication administered and finally the paddles. His heart issues were righted, and we were out 4 hours after he was first taken to the hospital.

Dr. Thompson in the ER , all the nursing staff, thank you for having the most awesome bedside manners and allowing this wife to relax a bit. Thank you for taking such great care of my husband and for putting my mind at ease with the shocking thing.

Follow up He is now wearing a loop monitor for 2 weeks, and has a cardiologist appt on Mar 14 to see what caused the issues to begin with. Hopefully all this gets sorted and nothing like this ever happens again.

Soft spoken angel

I was in an accident tonight on Banwell. To the lady who stopped to help, I wanted to say thank you. I didnt get your name bc I was freaking out but you were calm, soft spoken and exactly what I needed. Thank you so much. Without you I would have been lost.

Good Samaritans

I was with my Uncle and Aunt at Costco when we were leaving we realized the vehicle we were driving had a flat tire with my uncle being legally blind and neither my aunt or I knew how to fix the tire we werent sure what to do but then out of no where a gentle man came over and tried to use fix a flat that he got out of his own car and tried for 45 mins to get air in until he realised it wasnt gonna work so just as the gentleman made the decision to help by putting the donut on and take the other tire off for us another gentleman showed up and offered to help him so it could get changed faster we were so appreciative for the help considering it was very cold out. We would just like to thank these 2 good samaritans for coming to our rescue. You've been spotted in Windsor!!

FedEx! You're people are amazing!

Two dogs got out of their owner's home and were having a day of it exploring, except it's FREEZING outside. A FedEx employee called over the two animals and got them into the warmth and safety of his truck before delivering them back to the owner! Now THAT is some service!

Saved my life at The Sandbar!

I want to Thank the 2 ladies who helped me on Saturday February 16,2019 at The Sandbar! It was my first time there with my partner and during dinner I started choking and Joe had to do the Heimlich maneuver to save my life while he was doing that 2 ladies came to help also! I do not know their names, all I know is one was a nurse and it was her Birthday.
They took me into the bathroom until I was ok which was several minutes because I could not get that piece of Steak to move. But, after several minutes and a few threats of calling an ambulance we finally got it to move. I am so sorry I did not get to thank you properly or remember your names. Hopefully you or someone you know will see this. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU for helping to save my life. I have never been so scared in my life and you 2 ladies kept me calm, held my hair back for me and all around made me feel safe! So to Joe,my hero who says he is not a hero,I love you, and to those 2 ladies and the Staff at The Sandbar Thank you very much for all that you did for me last night. Yes, we will be back but Joe said I can only eat soup LOL. So grateful to all involved in saving my life! Forever Grateful,Kathy Hunter
