Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
On Sunday afternoon, as we were driving to McHugh Street in Riverside, we noticed a number of cars stopped in both directions. We saw an injured or sick skunk wobbling around in traffic. Everyone seemed concerned but no one really knew what to do at the time. We continued on our way and called Windsor Police (non-emergency number.) They said they'd take care of it. About an hour later we drove back home and noticed the skunk had been contained beneath an upturned red shopping cart, and two cars were waiting patiently on the grass. Kudos to all of your for saving the skunk, who shouldn't have been out in the day time. A lot of people will say these rodents are just pests! Well, we hope the little guy recovers, and you, my friends, have been spotted!
To the amazing nurse at Met hospital who called herself Anna Banana, thank you for making my sons time there a happy one! You brought him a finger puppet and a coloring book with crayons when he was getting restless, that was so nice of you! It's nurses like you that make tough times easier. Thank you so much and keep doing what you're doing!
On Black Friday at the ALDO at Devonshire Mall, I bought 2 pairs of boots. One for my Mom and I ordered a pair for myself to come in the mail. Unfortunately, I had to return my moms the very next day, so I went to Windsor Crossings which was closer to my house to see if they could refund my money for me. While I was there, I realized my receipt for my ordered Boots was totally off. The sales associate at Devonshire Mall accidentally put the wrong address for my ordered boots to be delivered to. The manager Abe, at Windsor Crossings went above and beyond and called around to see what he could do for me. He even took down my number and called me later in the day to tell me everything was fixed. I just wanted to give you a big thank-you for your efforts because I know you were very busy being it's around Christmas time and people that work in retail definitely don't get enough credit. Great service at ALDO at Windsor Crossings! Thanks Abe! You have been spotted!
We have all been hearing about how businesses are stepping up to help out our local food bank that had to close its doors in the past couple weeks due to lack of food. What I didn't expect was to hear from my girlfriend Deena that a girl from our own community has brought us global.
Local Author Gracie Wilson has done something using social media as a good way to reach around the world. The event is called Auction for the Holidays and it consists of Authors around the world donating signed books for her auction to purchase food needed to keep those in our city who need extra help have a bit of an easier time. This girl has brought New York Best sellers around too. These authors who are not from here, don't even know where here is, are stepping forward to help our community. She even posted that she has a local business that sells meat offering her a discount and such to help her get more for less. From the timelines in this event it would seem that she works day and night. For nothing, not a penny it would appear. She is even doing the shopping with her family and friends.I counted up the bids and she's already gotten 600USD it looks like and it's been open 48hours. So Gracie and those helping her you've been spotted. As someone who has used this particular food bank from the bottom of my heart I thank you.
Just took our pup in for what could have been a potentially serious situation and the staff at the Walker Road Animal Hospital were absolutely wonderful! The doctor who was filling in for the night was such a great, down to earth vet and the technicians and front desk staff were friendly, personable and got right to business without making things seem scary. I was so nervous bringing my boy in and they just made everything go so smoothly. Not to mention he is okay and back home recovering :) Walker Road Animal Hospital you have been spotted! Thank you for all your hard work!
I want to take the time to thank lady officer at the LaSalle police station! We did not get your name but you helped me and my daughter install her sons Car seat. You were kind and explained step by step to my daughter all the safety steps to take. Also you answered all our questions we had. Once again thank-you :) and you have definitely been spotted
To the dad who was at active body tonight. You looked tired from working all day and your son wanted to play a game you didn't. But how could you say no to such a cute child? You played with him and he giggled and smiled, he was so happy. I enjoyed listing to both of you laugh and play...
To all the Goodfellow volunteers out on this cold and rainy day (and every other day) way to go!!! You guys are awesome!! Thanks for all your doing for those in need!!!
