Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
The people on here that keep venting about bad drivers in this city need to do something about it besides posting it here. Windsor Police has a Roadwatch form that you can download, print and fill it out, and then drop it off at any local police station. I have used it a few times and will continue to do so all it takes is a little effort. These idiot drivers out there will get the Karma Police knocking on their door and get what they have coming to them.
Here is the link below for the form or go to the Windsor Police website and look it up.

I was turning left on TEcumseh and Lauzon and while in the far right lane, while preparing to turn right a bright red car in the lane to my left turned on their blinker and instead of waiting their turn to merge decided to muscle in front of me. This should have been the end of it but she followed me into the LCBO and started yelling at me in front of everyone in the store, saying that me being in a rush almost caused an accident and calling me an idiot. I walked past her and told her i was done talking to her. I hope this lunatic doesn't cause any accidents on her way home.
This driver decided to pass someone on the number 3 who was going 80, but they passed them going only 85! You almost crashed into the on coming car! Im so astonished that you two actually didn't collide with how close you were! Do not pass unless you have the time or your willing to go a bit faster!! This could have been a horrible morning for a lot of people. PAY ATTENTION. If anyone knows who this female driver is, Please give her a talk about how dangerous her decision was!
To the person in the maroon Rendezvous on ECROW this afternoon, if you're not going to follow traffic, refuse to merge over to let people on when no one is beside you and drive 80km (not in the construction zone) take another route to your destination! I do not condone speeding but you're going to cause an accident and hurt someone one day. Driving so slow under the posting speed limit is just as dangerous as speeding. I had to slam on my brakes before I ran out of room on the on ramp because you wouldn't move over and kept slowing down.
I have never written into Spotted In, but I feel this needs to be shared.
This afternoon, my friend and I went to the Superstore on Walker road around 3pm. I went to the self-checkout and rang myself through (as I usually do). I used debit and put that I wanted $40 cash back. I typed in my pin, loaded up my cart, grabbed my receipt and walked away, forgetting my $40. It wasn't even 10 minutes later that I remembered I had requested the $40 and didn't take it from the dispenser. I called and was told no one had turned in the $40. I even went back to the store and checked for myself and nope, nothing.
To the dishonest person that took my $40, I hope you used that money towards something you really needed because I couldn't imagine taking that money just because I could. I just keep telling myself that you honestly needed that money more than I did. But if not, karma is a b*tch....
My brother and I were walking towards the entrance of Canadian Tire
on Lauzon Rd, being in our mid sixties, spotted a man struggling with
a huge box in a shopping cart, decided to give this man a hand to load
the box in his trunk, when out of the blue, came Get your frickin hands
off my box , he didn't use that word, He really thought in his mind we were
going to walk away with his box. To which we replied." We hope you
have a nice day!!! We didn't mean no harm." P. S. This guy was a senior
like us.. Go Figure!!!
To the virtuous person who hit a beige Lincoln MKZ parked in the 200-block of Reedmere sometime late Sunday night/ early Monday morning:
It wasn't my car; it was my father's. He passed away unexpectedly in mid-April and he LOVED that car. I put off selling it and have been driving it over the summer because it reminds me of him and I miss him. You, however, were probably drunk or looking at your phone, hit it, thought to yourself about the financial and legal trouble you'd be in, saw that it was a nice car on a nice block, assumed I had the cash to pay for it (I don't) and drove away.
I leave you a quote from the prematurely departed Kurt Cobain:
If you're really a mean person you're going to come back as a fly and eat poop.
Enjoy the karma.
I am a driver too, but when I have less than 10 kilometers to go, I take my bike. I'm the yellow vintage bike with the basket...you might have seen me. I try my best to follow the rules of the road, as per the Highway traffic Act, but more than half the time, no one sees me! I should rephrase it as, no one is looking for me!
A CYCLIST'S LIFE IS IN YOUR HANDS. You are driving a tonne of steel and glass, I am sitting on a little seat on some metal bars. I will do my best to make driving easier and safer for you, PLEASE stop endangering my life.
I love you Windsor, I moved back from Ottawa for you. I love my bike from Ottawa, but I did not miss the disrespect from Windsor drivers towards cyclists.
P.S. CITY OF WINDSOR MAKE BIKE LANES FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. And when they do exist, don't put a sign in the middle of nowhere saying "BIKE PATH ENDS". ?? What IS that.
