So, our Church was in need of a router for a new to us computer. An incredibly generous donor stepped up and bought a very good router from Staples. We had difficulty installing the router and called Asus to have assistance. The lady on the other end could not help us get it working so she gave us a reference number and told us that we would be able to return it at Staples with the receipt and the reference number. This Friday, I tried to return it with all receipts and numbers in hand...the Manager would not let us return it.
He actually started out by telling us he would allow us to if we purchased the $29.00 insurance (after the fact) I said sure that would be great! We didn't want an actual refund, we would have been thrilled to have a credit. I was ready to pay for the insurance and he changed his mind completely!
Yes, we were past the 30 days; however with a reference number from the company, this should have been automatic.
I know, I will never shop at Staples and neither will our entire Congregation. I hope they realize that approximately 80 people at our Church, know about this incident which means probably those 80 people have told another 5 each...that relates to 400 people who may never shop your store.
Thank you Staples....very disappointing customer service!
My 80 year old grandfather was phone scammed by a man first calling him grandpa then continued on with his story of getting into an accident then being arrested. Seeing that my grandfather has so many grandchildren he didn't question it and went down to the Windsor courthouse to give a " lawyer" bail for 1000.00. My grandfather was a victim of this horrible act and I want everyone to pass this on so this does not continue. $1000.00 is a lot of money for anyone to loose especially at 80 years of age with not much money coming in .
To the kid on switzer carty bus number 209002 driving home on manning road towards amherstburg at 5.15pm back seat! Throwing trash out the window all the way down manning road is definately not cool! You should be ashamed of yourself! You've been spotted!
Just now
I was jogging around south windsor area and saw a scammer (Ontario Energy) knocking very loud at a neighbour's door
He never gave the scammer a chance to tell him anything after the words "Ontario Energy"
My neighbour told him off, threatened to call the cops if he doesn't leave the property and slammed the door.
Be careful Windsorites, scammers are always on the loose!
at the Mcdonalds in essex today i watched a commercial vehicle throw their garbage out the window in the parking lot.Why would people do that in a vehicle clearly marked with their company name.In this day and age of environmentally friendly...shame on you Pocknell Home Maintenance. You will never see my business, nor that of anyone i know.
My mother, who is disabled, and myself, were just denied access to the tunnel bus from Detroit after an amazing Red Wings' game, due to her disability. This is the second time in the past year that this has occurred. Once again, the transit Windsor driver refused to ask people to move from the designated handicap seating at the front of the bus, and refused us entry onto the bus. I offered to ask people to move myself, but was denied access onto the bus. The driver allowed 7 other people onto the bus after us, and we were told to stand and wait for another bus to pull up. Both the driver of bus 414 and 621 allowed this to happen. The manager on duty agreed that this was acceptable, and refused to give me the name of either driver. Thanks Transit Windsor, for another disappointing encounter. This seems to be becoming commonplace for your organization.
