Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that was able to get multiple packs of toilet paper and Lysol wipes. As a cancer patient, this has caused so much more stress on top of an already stressful situation. I hope everyone that purchased more than what they could possibly need are proud.
We are all in this together....but many have proven they are just out for themselves when we need to band together and help each other out.
Hey to the jerk in the white SUV that hit my black chevy and ripped out my back bumper at Devonshire mall near chapters today around 3pm-4pm. Just know I know what car you drive and a witness also gave me your license plate. I reported it to the police as a hit and run and devonshire pulled the video so sleep well tonight. Maybe do the right thing next time and leave a note.
To the lady who backed into me in the parking lot at the TD bank and knocked me down. Im sorry you had more important things to do and take off instead of stopping and checking on me. I didnt get your name and you left so fast I couldnt get your licence plate.
Hopefully this doesnt happen to someone you care for. PS I'm ok, just be more aware of your surroundings next time.

This is a WARNING to everyone who may fall for or have a loved one who may fall for this current scam.
Today I found out that my mother was scammed out of $1000.00 and if it had not been for the quick thinking of an employee from SEPHORA it have cost her $2000.00 more.
I don't know all the details of how everything went down, but here is what I do know.
My mother recieved a call on January 17th from someone claiming that her account has been tampered with, she was told to purchase 2x 500.00 gift cards from SEPHORA and they would call to confirm the #'s on the back and that after this the money would be PUT BACK onto her card.
Unfortunately, it was not and then scam CONTINUED!
This FPOS told her that it did not work and that she needed to do it again...this time 4x $500.00 cards.
My mother usually has her senses about her but the FPOS had he scared and convinced that she NEEDED to do this.
Anyways, after returning to the store the SECOND time, she apparantly got the same cashier. This cashier informed my mother that she believed she was being SCAMMED and FLAT OUT REFUSED to sell her anymore cards.
She proceeded to call about the previous 2 cards and they were informed that they had already been used for ONLINE purchases.
Unfortunately my mother ALSO gave her bank card # to this FPOS! My mother went to the bank first thing this morning and cancelled her card.
"Thankfully"she said "nothing was missing", but I will check for myself in the morning.
My poor mother was and is still frazzled and confused over what has just happened, so I will be stepping in and taking care of this in hopes that it never happens again!
Part of that is me sharing with you her experience so hopefully doesn't happen to you or a loved one.
I will be contacting the police in the morning, the bank and SEPHORA.
If you work in retail and you notice someone making a large purchase of gift cards, PLEASE , PLEASE ask them about it, THANKFULLY because of this WOMEM that WORKS at SEPHORA, my mother was not ripped off anymore than what she had already lost.
I cannot THANK her enough for stepping in.
God Bless
Here is what I know about the caller:
Thick INDIAN accent, male, and the # he called from was
941-568-2376
This FPOS called her 17 times most of them were after she refused to purchase anymore cards, he continually try to scare her into doing it, but thankfully she believed the women from Sephora over this FPOS!
To the man that i splashed standing next to your van.
I am terribly sorry... I did apologize, after you cut my car off and started screaming at me. The roads are filled with slush and even going slow slush still flies. I hope you were able to get new pants and finish whatever you were doing.
Just be aware almost causing traffic accidents just to scream at someone who felt horrible already, never solves anything.
Not much else to say. Its a shitty situation and i feel bad about it.
And i am indeed very sorry
Signed

To the guy at the back of the education building tonight harassing that girl, you thought no one would find out. You went up to her and asked her to get a drink with you and she said no and walked away. You followed her and grabbed her arm and started telling her to come with you to your friends house.
Someone should beat weasels like you down. This is the kind of thing that we as a community on campus have to watch out for. There's lots of people alone on campus at night for late classes and guys feel more emboldened to go up to women and harass them. She yelled at you and told you off. And I watched you cowardly walk away lol.
How a university accepts scum like you into their programs and you're going to be a teacher who teaches children in the future? I'll never know.
Look out for each other, and guys look out for women. There's lots of scum like him out there, but I'm betting that there's lots of good guys out there too who won't stand for that.
I was driving east bound on EC Row January 13 around 7pm. I was in the left lane between Jefferson and Lauzon doing 110km/ h when I noticed a car quickly approaching from behind so I moved into the right lane. The car veered into my lane and attempted to hit me so I put my window down and gave them the finger. The driver then proceeded to drive in the middle of the two lanes so I couldn't get away/ go around them. When I sped up to go around them they veered into my lane and attempted to hit me again. I had to go onto the shoulder to avoid being hit. I was finally able to get away/ go around them just after the last Lauzon exit ramp. By this point I was shaking and terrified and worried that they would follow me to my destination. I exited at Lesperance and they thankfully continued on. It was a gray SUV, you sir/ madam are a dangerous driver and the police were called.
I walk often at the Ford Test Track, and I have had the chance to talk to the maintenance employees who care for the park. They take a lot of pride in making it a safe and clean place for our community to enjoy. So imagine how they must feel when they show up to work and see this. They clean it, and it comes back again. It's so upsetting to know that there are people out there who are crying so much for attention that they feel the need to stain their own neighborhoods. Please let this be a reminder that we need to teach our children to care about their community, and to take pride in creating a positive environment for everyone to share.
