Coat Stealer

Driving with my dad the other day, on Tecumseh in the west end, right near the Tim Hortons and in front of the Esso, we were stopped at a red light and saw a guy take a coat that was left at the bus stop as if it was a normal thing. Just wanted to say that it didn't go unseen, we saw you.

Well today while I was at work there was a knock on my door and my partner answered and it was a pimply, 40 year old about 210lbs smelling like chemicals....with all of my id in a baggy saying he "found" it. did he have my keys also, and had no one answered the door would he have tried to enter???? Please be careful guys!!! People these days are extremely brazen!!!!!

Theif/Burglar in Walkerville Area

Not only has my bag been taken, my car has been entered over three times since the start of the month, and someone managed to steal a brand new speaker system and money from my car. They've made it a weekly thing to come back and get into my car and trash the interior, and when they couldn't get into the car, they stepped their game up, entered my back yard and stole a bike. I've filed a police report. But I'm afraid they'll get too confident and try and break into my house. I live on a very tight knit street, so this is all insane to me that someone is constantly doing this. Please be careful and report and suspicious activity to the police. I'm very distraught and tired of my property being taken.

Rules are there for everyone's safety

To the walkers and bikers at the river front.

First , to the bikers, stay off the walking path. It clearly is marked where the bike path is and where the walking path is. It also clearly states that bikes are not permitted near the river walk where the railings are. This is for every one's safety. It isn't just a dumb rule some one made up. If you are biking along and get snagged by a fishing line, you will know it....

Second, to the walkers, be respectful, stay out of the biking lane. Keep you KIDS OUT OF THE BIKING LANE!! At no point is it a safe idea to allow a small child to casually saunter in the bike lane. A lot of that trail is down hill or has turns that are obstructed by bushes so seeing around them is a challenge... I have 3 young children and I can tell you that I have gone over and over where we walk and where the bikers ride. This isn't because I am a grouch, it's for their safety. Yes, bikers should be watching, but so should walkers. It takes minimal force to cause a head injury that can result in brain death or damage. Acting like it's no big deal is giving yourself a false sense of security. You wouldn't let your children play in the street with the cars, why would you allow them in a midst bikes that can hurt them just as easily. Don't forget that it isn't just bikes on that trail. It's bikes, skate boards, roller blades , the art trolly ( which is 2 golf carts put together, imagine getting run over by that), and the maitenance golf cart that goes some well faster then any biker....Use common sense and when that fails you, read the signs. You wouldn't drive on the wrong side of the road and just see what happens... so why ignore the signs else where?

Shame on you...Bariatric Center

My son has been successfully losing weight ....but one obstacle is weighing him in every week because he is to heavy for a regular scale since it does not go over 400 lbs, so he approached the Bariatric Center to have use of there scale, they allowed my son to weigh in ONCE then called him to say they will no longer allow this due to liability if he trips on the scale....SERIOUSLY? Are you not there to help?! My son went to get his doctor to refer him there and even then he is not allowed. (He was also willing to sign a waiver). THIS will not keep my son down WE will find somewhere that he will be able to track his progress!

Terrible Owners

Today at 9:30 am I went to the 400 building downtown. When I got there, there was a dog tied to the front door in the cold rain. After I was done inside an hour later the dog was still there, shivering in the cold. Who does that to there dog? That is animal cruelty and it needs to stop!

Red Jeep 4 X 4 On Front Rd

To the young man on Front Road in the Red Jeep 4X4 yesterday (Tuesday) around 5:30pm. You tailgated my blue Mazda 3 all the way down Front Rd. and when I turned left onto Victory, you quickly changed lanes, and shot me the finger. Just a note - I had my two children (5 and 2) in the car, and you not only put all three of us in danger with your unsafe driving, but you also reminded me how much 'driving is privilege not a right'! Please be cautious of others on the road...especially when others are driving the actual speed limit. Parents: please remind your young drivers that they put themselves and others at danger when they are speeding...and remind them of road safety and respect for others!
