Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Driver in a green jeep on EC Row East Bound got on at Huron Church, jeep was swerving in the left lane, almost onto grass then almost side swiping a transport, continued to drive this way up past Howard, then went off at Walker, again hitting brakes, swerving, we looked to see and there it was a cell phone clearly sitting on the steering wheel, to the girl with brown straight hair in a ponytail driving that jeep wearing a hat you should be aware you have been spotted take this as a warning for your safety and safety of others to put that phone away nothing is more important ever!
Today my son and I were coming from goodlife and we spotted 2 little girls with a giant sign selling drinks. I was so excited that I pull along side them and asked them how much they were selling the drinks. They told me 2 dollars even though I though that was a bit high I scrounge for 2 dollars in my car and thank them I did tell them if they lowered their price they may get more costumers .The little girl replied that they only had enough for 6 cups. And they wanted to but more so they had to make enough. I thought this was so adorable.
As I was driving away I overheard a man in his thirtys walking his young son say how much for the drinks and the young girl and she replied 2 dollar and the man. He replied very rudely to the girls that he could get a drink much cheaper at Macs milk. I thought the two girls were going to cry how rude of that man and what a bad example he was settling for his son. One day I hope those girls have the biggest local business in Windsor and hope the shew him out of their store ;)
Earlier today, right by the bus terminal
A lady (possibly in her 40's) took one look at me and made a snide remark about aboriginal people and how they shouldn't live in Windsor. I'm not aboriginal. I do not know her and I do not know what is her problem. Maybe she assumed I'm aboriginal because of my appearance. I was bullied as a kid because I look different than everyone else. But then again, there's karma.
Many of us have read the new by-law, heard about it, or been giving a warming about what is acceptable for a garbage bin (with a lid), but when they come to collect it, the workers whip the cans around like nothing, then throw the lids where they see fit!! Completely disgraceful if you ask me!! For the amount you guys get paid, is it too much to ask to do your part in helping is TRY to make the city look better? BEFORE the garbage dump is filled with all the run over lids? Which we, the citizen have to replace because of your carelessness????
While getting my propane tanks filled at Costco today - I saw a man approach the fill station - there was an obvious line formed and he bypassed everyone and placed his tank down close to the pump as if he were next in line. The young mother with 2 children who had been waiting in line (she had her children in a cart with her propane tank outside of the yellow parking block barrier) mentioned to the man that she was next in line - the man started huffing and puffing, told this young mother that her propane tank was still in the cart, said to her that the attendant wouldn't come and get it for her. The mother replied that she didn't want to leave her children unattended in the cart for any longer than she had to as the cart can not cross the yellow barrier so she was waiting for her turn to bring the tank to the attendant. She left her children, placed the tank in front of the mans tank and went right back to her children. Kudos to the attendant who finished with my tanks and immediately asked the young mother which tank was hers, filled it and proceeded to place it directly into her cart so she wouldn't have to leave her children again.
To the rude man - you have been spotted for not understanding that your time is not more important than those around you and for not understanding the concept of waiting your turn. As I was walking away I overheard the mother explaining to her child (probably age 3 or 4) how it is important to wait your turn in line -perhaps you could use a refresher course yourself?
How dare you. This was not just some bike that can be replaced. This is a chopper bike that can not be replaced. My cousin is absolutley heartbroken as he has had that bike for years and he loved it. That bike was his prized possesion and you took it from him. The attached photo was when the bike was new so the bike is a little worn out. If you see the bike please report it to me. I will be in the comment section
A group of kids were walking home on Ottawa street. They had just bought pizza from krustys. Some guy follows them on his e bike says he's going to beat them up if he doesn't give him their pizza. Just wanted to say he's a rotten person. What a jerk.
I was shopping yesterday at Canadian aka Crappy Tire, this older woman was looking for a faucet that she had seen on sale in the flyer. She asked me if I knew about it, I didn't so I was helping her look. The Canadian Tire sales associate approached us so I went on my way to shop, then all I could over hear from the next isles over was that the sales man was being extremely rude to the lady! She had an accent but she had no problems speaking or understanding English. However, the sales man had a problem listening and being a good helper. The sales man was also being sarcastic and dismissing her inquiry rudely and the sweet lady didn't even say a thing to him about his unprofessionalism but It angered me so much that I walked back over there. How he was acting was just ridiculous and extremely inappropriate. He also was trying to snuff her off and say "Like I already told you I don't know, the price tag is gone and there isn't any flyers here to check!!!!" -COME ON...You work here!!! Sorry for requiring you to do a little work rather than wander the isles and try to look busy; omg I did not appreciate how he spoke to this lady, Her (italian, romanian maybe) accent, does not make her deaf either! In an attempt to fix the situation, I simply went back there and asked the lady if she found what she was searching for? She told me the sales man was looking. So I then asked him if he knew which is the one that was on sale? He didn't. He had a scanner in his hand so I asked him politely can you just scan it to find out? He said there were no price tags to scan so I said couldn't you just scan the boxes to find the one on sale then? In a huff he sarcastically said "ya, but I'd have to find it." I said okay!! He started looking again, and the lady thanked me. Social Justice starts before school is over and the degree is earned. I wouldn't care if you had to scan every bar-code in the store, It's your job! Don't act like customers are bothering you, you are working and getting paid for providing customer service. POOR customer service at that! PS: A slight language barrier/ accent does not give you the right to be a bully!
If you hate your job, retire all ready. SMILE! You've been spotted!
