Shame on you Transit Windsor

How could you run a business taking a teens money like that. A 16 year old girl standing in a line to get her monthly bus pass, dressed in her school uniform and book bag. After she explains she lost her student card but has a note from the school explaining she is a student you still deny her a student pass and charge her and adult rate. You should be ashamed of yourselves for taking advantage of the youth. Honestly how many kids would put on a uniform and carry a book bag to pretend to be in school for a cheaper buss pass. This must be part of the reason why we are listed as worst transit system in Canada.

Outrageous behaviour in public

To the young lady in The Sand Bar Restaurant on Saturday night,
It was clear that you were upset and felt the need to voice your opinion. But the way you did it and portrayed yourself was awful. You tore into another young lady, who I might add, handled the situation with grace and dignity. You were relentless, rude and flat out a bully. As my husband and I sat, trying to enjoy our meal, we couldn't help but feel sorry for you. You clearly lack the self esteem to handle an adult situation and feel the need to act like a child. We also feel sorry for your parents (as we are parents ourselves), I am sure they would have been ashamed of your behaviour, as you should be too.
To the young lady on the other end of the situation,
Good on you for holding your head high, not reacting to the verbal abuse or lowering your standards and acting like her. Your parents should be proud of the strong young woman they have raised.
Sincerely,
The older couple a few tables over

$sshole snow plow

I've lived down my street for 3years and never once seen a city snow plow come down my street. Yesterday my street still hadn't been plowed so I called 311* and politely put in a request. I had to get mine and my sisters car out so I ended up plowing snow for 3hrs last night just to be able to finally get out of our street. Today I wake up to the whole street being cleared and all of the hardened snow had been dumped all in front of my house/ driveway and exactly where I had already shovelled. The rest of my street has no sign of snow because all of it has been piled up in front of my driveway. My sister was running late for work because she hit her car and damaged it and it took me and her 2hrs to get all the heavy hardened snow out of our driveway and out from in front of our house!!! What do I even pay taxes for??? So a$$hole, spiteful snow plow drivers and come and dump all the snow from my street in front of my house and damage our cars?!!!!

SNOWMOBILES & HOCKEY RINKS

During the winter months we like to build a huge ice rink, where we also have a weekend/ day of ice skating and bonfires etc. for family and friends and patrons of our marina. This is Private Property and the rink is situated at a dead end of the marina. So there is no reason for a sled to even go down that patch of snow.

Just on Saturday alone we spent 6 hours prepping the rink and flooded it. (We had already spent 10 hours on the rink before the additional 6 hours) Sunday came and so did the snow. On Monday we went to shovel it off but realized that the ice was slushy and we would have to wait a day or two before we could get back to work on it.

Not even a mere 30 seconds later two Ski-Doo's come flying into the rink RIGHT next to the nets. One guy got stuck, the other one took off and parked his sled on firmer snow. He walked over and helped his friend out but not before putting his leg through the auger hole for the water pump. Which was kind of Karma in my mind.

The point I'm making is the sledders have no respect for peoples ice rinks. We had THREE in the area and they were all destroyed by Ski-Doo's. It's time to take a step back and respect peoples hard work... Its easy to plow though on a sled and destroy someones rink. But why when you have the whole lake at your disposal? Now the part that really pisses me off is that they see the damn nets and the outline of an ice rink, but don't bother stopping BEFORE the net, and continue on over the rink...

Thanks to the two guys on Monday at Pike Creek. You know who you are. Apologizing is one thing... Coming back to help fix it is another.

Road crews

Our new Mayor, Drew Dilkins, claiming on the news last night that every major road has been cleared! This morning I have spotted seven vehicles on University Ave within two blocks of my house all stuck in the snow because the plows haven't even bothered to come down our street yet! Is University Avenue not considered a major street unless it is within a couple of blocks of the casino? Shame on the City for neglecting University avenue time and time again!

Woke up to the plows plowing snow right up against our car, 4 feet of hard snow against it, thanks a lot to whoever plows our street. Maybe next time be a bit more careful and considerate of people's vehicles

Looking for witnesses to accident

I was rear-ended at the corner of Lauzon and Wyandotte today around 2pm. Guy got out of his vehicle and said lets pull over to the parking lot. I agreed. I thought he was pulling into the parking lit, but he turned east onto Wyandotte and took off. Unfortunately, I did not get his plate number. I am hoping someone saw the accident and can help me out. The vehicle was a black suped up Ford F150. Thank you
