Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
I just wanted to thank the individual or individuals that took my 3yr old daughters sled out of our front yard today. It deeply saddens me that instead of thinking of the feelings or potential upset and hurt that your actions would cause you were more concerned with your own gain. It wasn't your deed that upset me the most; as an adult I understand the world and the unfortunate events that occur, but that I had explain to someone so young and innocent your actions and hearing her reply,"why didn't they just ask me to use it? I like to share Daddy." If anyone has seen or noticed a classic wooden sled with red boards near the Benjamin and Sheperd area please leave a comment below.
If you live in Windsor & Essex County and have been in search of employment in recent years, you are undoubtedly familiar with temp agencies.
By definition, a temporary assignment is a short-term position that gives a company time to evaluate the employee and see if they have the right skills to be hired on full time. They can make sure that the employee fits in with the company culture and that they work well with those around them. There is value to this. However, these companies that continue to hire temps and/ or keep them on for years without any pay raises or chance to advance should be fined.
Why is the government allowing these companies to operate this way? Working as a temp and working alongside full-time workers who make a substantially higher wage with benefits creates a toxic work environment. When will the government step in? I don't see the benefit of this for these companies either as they are paying a lot of money to these temp agencies rather than their hard-working employees.
I am wondering if anyone seen the 80yr old women that was hit by the city bus a little after 9 am Saturday Feb 21st? I wanted to advise people to be aware of expiry dates on food items they are purchasing at Target. First I want to state that my heart goes out to the employees as I know this is hard for them knowing their place of work is closing. I unfortunately grabbed an item I had come on a shelf across as I was standing in line and did not realize until I got home that it was 6 months expired. I called the store and patiently waited on the line as they were busy. Finally after being connected to who I was told was the manager, I was informed there was nothing that could be done and was advised not to eat it. I am only posting this as a warning to others to check the dates before purchasing food items there to ensure you are not wasting your money.
A mother who definitely won't be winning parent of the year. Just so you and your teenage daughter know, we saw you steal the shirt from Joe Fresh at the Superstore on Walker.
a brown spotted dog ran out infront of my car at 12:30am February 20 in forest glade. It is way to cold for animals to be outside let alone, alone and in the dark. I was in a rush to get somewhere so I didn't stop but people need to keep a look out.
So I was at the ATM at the 7-Eleven on Tecumseh and McDougal and proceeded to use the machine, punched in pin code withdrew $200.00 the stupid machine did not dispense the money. Went to the 7-Eleven person with a witness who was waiting to use the machine right behind me and told them the issue, they are not responsible for the ATM in their store, called the bank can't do anything for me, called the ATM number they can't do anything for me. They need to do an investigation on my money that I did not receive. Went to the downtown branch and the teller laughed at me, like it was a joke, it infuriated me that the teller was so disrespectful and unsympathetic to my situation. I have a 2 year old son and I needed that money to buy groceries and diapers for my son and I. It's pretty disturbing how callus the 7-Eleven workers, the Bank tellers and the people on the phone were to my situation. I am about to close my account with Scotiabank because they laughed at the situation.
