Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Yesterday at around 11:30pm near Herman Highschool my neighbours dog unfortunately got free of their back yard and ran towards Bernadd road. A women blew the stop sign, ending up hitting the dog almost hitting the owner who was inches away from catching her dog. The dog died moments after and the owner was deviated. It's a sad circumstance either way!! I'm positive that women didn't mean to hit and subsequently kill the dog but it's also a matter of NOT stopping at the sign! People the signs are there for a reason!! Use them, stop for 5 seconds and proceed on. It could very likely been a person walking home or someone on a bike. 5 seconds to properly stop could have been the difference for this family who lost their dog :( My condolences to them and to everyone reading this please be mindful and cautious while driving!!! Obey the law "stop" at the signs!! This neighborhood has two schools on this street!
I just wanted to give a shout out to SOME of the Windsor Regional Hospital staff. I woke up around 4am Sunday Morning with some intense pain in my back, which became unbearable (I suffer from kidney stones) so I decided to go to the hospital. By the time I got there I was crying and couldn't sit still, but I waited my turn for the triage nurse, as she was with some one. After a few minutes she had asked me if I could quiet down. And I told her , I have kidney stones and if I could quiet down, I would have. She was so rude about it and after she was done with that patient she left, and I had to wait some more for someone else to come. I understand your job is stressful, but I cannot even believe how uncompassionate and rude you were. Also , my first nurse was very rude as well. Needless to say, I pretty much passed my stone before receiving any pain relief from them. I would never treat any patient who is obviously in so much pain that way. This is a part of your job, so if you can't handle it, maybe you should find a different one. The doctor however was very nice and genuinely caring.
Despite the uproar during last year's election, Windsor continues to release UNTREATED RAW SEWAGE into the areas drinking water...

To the very impatient woman in the red car at Plymouth and Pillette. I hope you are never put in the spot of teahing your child how to correctly make a right hand turn on a red light after making a complete stop, instead of honking and racing past her shouting obscenities. New drivers are nervous enough without b& #€! £× like you on the roads. Btw. The speed limit in fountainbleu is posted at 40 km/ h not 60 as you were doing.
It can certainly be difficult trying to turn left onto a very busy Wyandotte street (Pilette area). Last Thursday afternoon, after nearly hitting a young man darting out into the road not 20ft away from the stoplight, it has become alarmingly apparent hat some students at the local highschool nearby have no regard for traffic. While I understand that you have places to be, under a car should not become one of them. Please use common sense and the cross walk dedicated to pedestrians. Take your time and go to the light. It doesn't matter how late you are for anything if you're hit and killed by a car, and to the ones who do use the crosswalk correctly, thank you!! L
We live by the Walker Homesite Park & in the last couple of weeks have seen a few dead/ poisoned rats. This evening one of the poor things wandered, very slowly, up our neighbours walk. God bless the Windsor Human society, they came right out & helped capture the poor thing so he didn't die under the house & alone in agony due to the poison. Now, and really important, are the children who play there, as well as the people who walk their dogs in the park, there are (or were) rabbits, birds, cats etc....that use the park. So if your walking in Walker Homesite Park with your pets, or even your children, be very careful, especially along the east fenceline, between the parking lot & going south.
Just a public service announcement to people who don't know how to properly use the 2 laned roundabout near howard...please educate yourselves!! Today was the third time I have almost gotten hit while I was in the roundabout and if i wasn't observant by slamming on my brakes and beeping at her before she entered, we would have collided. It sure would have been a shame to wreck your new pretty black chevy camaro eh!? Driving is a privilige, not a right people! So before entering that roundabout, stop and yield to the people who are in the roundabout and enter when it is safe to do so! It's not that hard! I'm 20 years old and there is no excuse for a grown woman who was driving that car to drive the way she did. Thank you all and have a good day!
Today I may have seen the most devastating thing. As my mom and I were arriving at the university and driving down University ave, we noticed a family of ducks crossing the road. It was the cutest thing, and I'd never seen that in person. The car in front of us stopped suddenly to allow the ducks to pass by, and slowly started to maneuver around them. But on the other side of the road, a speeding idiot, who had enough time to see the ducks, didn't slow one bit. My mother hocked the horn as hard as she could. Yet, they proceeded to run over the family leaving at least 4 babies killed, and the others panicking and tossed around by the sheer speed of the wheels. Us and the other cars in the line behind us were in shock. Mouths just wide open.
I can't believe someone could just do that and be ok with themselves and drive off. Even if you're in a hurry, does that mean you can just take the lives of the poor innocent wild life around you? You may be the biggest jerk I've ever encountered. I don't like to use the word "hate" but the driver of this car definitely deserved that title. Sometimes I just hate humans and their ignorance of the wild life that surrounds them.
