With the recent flood, and the one last year, we've had to get new furniture. I want to thank Stu Cole @ Teppermans. He has gone above & beyond, getting us the receipts from last year to give my insurance company, and helping us pick out a basement full of furniture - twice. He is always great to deal with & super helpful. I hope all your hard work gets you a nice fat commission cheque. You deserve it !
Spotted at the intersection of Ouellette and Eugenie. Idiots like this are one reason the laws increase.
My neighbour was desperate for someone to remove the piles of moldy flooded basement stuff off her lawn. I called Bob about it & he was here inside of 20 minutes today. Then this wonderful man has now come back to empty out all the wet drywall & panelling from her basement to help her out. You have been spotted Bob, thank you so much for helping Marie.
You are an angel!
To the guy who originally posted this in another Facebook group. I hope this message reaches the owners.
Last nite at 10:10pm I was driving southbound on Huron line just past Grand Maris, when I saw a dog laying on the right side of the road,
He was alive still but in really bad shape,
3 to 5 yr old fixed male grey and black min pin mix
Blue plaid collar with an image of a male deer with antlers "buck" in yellow and black on it,
If the owner sees this I just want you to know that I held that dog in my arms and raced it the 24hr vet on walker Rd
They did everything they could but the dog had to be put down, very sad.
I want you to know that I held that. Dog and cried like he was my own,
He did not die alone,
And was comforted in his last moments.
I'm so sorry for your loss
And to the scum that hit him and kept driving I hope you rot in hell for ever for that.
Rip little buddy
I just wanted to say thanks to some of the staff at Zehrs on Malden Rd. I was with my 4 year old daughter getting groceries and felt like I was going to pass out while in line at the check out. Unfortunately, I didn't get anyone's name but I wanted to say thanks to the employee at the register for being quick with assistance, the employee in the wine store for talking with my daughter, distracting her and keeping her calm and to the employee who got me a glass of juice, bagged my groceries and stayed with me until my husband got there. Your kindness, concern and help was much appreciated!
My kids were hauling out drywall and flooded stuff to the dumpster when a lady stopped and asked if we got flooded. My daughter said yes and the lady said a moment returned to her vehicle and returned with a pizza said have a nice day and left. We have no idea who she was but we assume an angel. We have been offered help by friends and neighbours which we are more than grateful for. The good lord must have sent this one because my husbands favourite thing to eat is PIZZA. THANK YOU LADY FOR YOUR HEART! And thank you to our other friends
Went school shopping with my hubby and three girls today and had to hit many stores looking for shoes for my oldest. Well our very last stop was marshalls and we got the girl shoes, but when we got back to our car one tire was flat to the ground. A very nice man came up to us after a few minutes of waiting for my dad to come with an air pump and asked us if we would like to use his and got the tire full so we could get home! We would have been waiting around atleast a half hour for my dad. Thank you to this man you have been spotted! So thankful he took the time out of his busy day to help us get on the road and home again!
As many people have posted on this site regarding the recent flood and cleanup in the area, no one has commented on the people from GFL/ WDS who are busting their butts to pick all this waste up. These are NOT city employees and believe me they do not earn top dollar. Some are working up to 15 hours to get the job done. So as you are tossing all the flood damaged items to the road, remember there is some consideration to be given to the guy (yes it usually is one guy) who is disposing this heavy waste.
