Orange tabby south Windsor

Is anyone in south Windsor missing an orange tabby? He showed up on my porch this morning crying but somewhat afraid. It looks like it's been outside for quite some time. I'm not sure of the sex yet but it.

thyme maternity at devonshire mall

A week or so ago I was in Devonshire mall and made my way into thyme maternity. Being a first time mom I was very nervous and felt really uneasy about the changes I was going through, wasn't feeling too great about myself hated the way my clothes looked and fit. Until the staff there approached me, you were all very nice and helpful, especially the lovely girl in the headscarf who helped me. You were amazing, you were so helpful offering me things I needed and helping me every step of the way. It was really hard for me to do it alone, but you had the most amazing attitude. You made it fun for me to shop, you were super honest and I loved everything I ended up buying! I left the store a happy mommy! I really appreciated everything you did, I can't remember your name but I wanted to spot you!!

Excellent customer service

Shout out to Brian at McDonald's at Tecumseh and Drouillard. We were missing toys in our happy meals and when I called he invited us back and let our boys pick a toy and make their own ice cream. He went above and beyond. All I expected was to get the toys.

Good Samaritans by Walmart

Big shout out to the people that stopped and helped me tonight. I don't know your names but I hope you see this and let everyone know it was you!
I left Tecumseh Mall this evening, it is and was cold, windy, and pouring rain. Just about as soon as I got onto Tecumseh I knew I had a flat tire. Managed to slowly get the car to Walmart East and pulled up to their tire and lube garage. It's about 4:47 pm. There are no customers They won't help, not even to put my spare on for me. They close at 5 and they won't budge.
Pretty unhappy about this I go out and get into my car and start making a phone call for help, and a couple pull over and the man says he will take care of it! Unbelievably nice! It is still pouring rain and awful out.
He tells me to wait in the car and I do, but then we have an issue with my jack and he can't get it to work. Another vehicle pulls up, black truck and he says they can help too. So I ended up with 3 men, two sets of strangers, changing my tire in this awful, cold weather.
I have nothing to offer them, and they said that's unnecessary anyways!!
Thank you guys, you saved me from a miserable evening and it's so nice to know that people are still great!

To the honest couple we will pay it forward!

A million thanks to the amazing couple who found my husbands wallet in the shopping cart in the parking lot at Sobeys on Manning Rd last night at midnight and drove out to our home in Belle River and returned the wallet. We were all sleeping and the knocking at 12:30am definitely gave us cause for concern but we were stunned and thankful to this thoughtful and honest couple. My husband wanted to give them something to thank them and all they said was "pay it forward!" There is still so much good in the world. Thank you again!!!!!

Warning Ticket-some parking officers are

I park at the university of windsor engineering lot, and always display my parking pass. However, when the weather is nice, and I roll my windows down, I take the pass down so it doesn't fly off and away. The other day, I forgot to display it. I returned to my car, only to find a parking ticket! Of course I was upset, but I realized it was my fault.

So, I grabbed the ticket and took a look at the amount, which was $0.00. Very confused by this, I thought it must be an error. I looked at the ticket more thoroughly, and saw the message: "Warning: display parking pass". So, the officer let this one go, with no fine. Either the officer knew by my car/ plates that I have a pass, or just gave me the benefit of the doubt. Either way, he/ she could have given me a real ticket.

It may seem weird, but I almost cried, mainly because I have been having a very hard time lately, in a lot of ways. So, a deed like this may seem insignificant to some, but it's a big deal to me. Thank you so much! :)

An advocating mother.

I saw a post shared through a mutual friend recently of a young mother who evidently picked up her son from school to find her child with what looked like obvious signs of head trauma. On this post she brought up many valid points as to how hard it is to have a child with a disability and not have them "labelled" in school. On this post, she showed how much she was fighting to get answers as to what even happened to her child. On this post she proved that it takes way to long to hear back from school boards, or anyone else she may have called to bring attention to this horrid situation. I used to be one of those people who, I guess you could say, looked "down" on young mothers. But you miss, you're doing a wonderful job. You advocating for your child may start a chain reaction where people who would typically keep quiet, won't keep quiet anymore. You're a very strong woman and for that I salute you. I can no longer find the post or best believe me I would have messaged you personally. Keep doing what you're doing mama!!!! Change starts with one person!!!!

High five

Shout out to police officer who stops by kindergarten on Giles Blvd. on Friday morning to say hello to the kids. He just came out of nowhere, saw kids playing outside and decided to stop and give them a high fives, he even turned on flashing lights on the car. Kids were so happy. They waved at him while he was leaving. I was watching from my balcony, made my day.
