Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Last night, my daughter, her dad and I went to the Detroit Pistons game, and on the way home, on the tunnel bus, a very nice young man was such gentleman and sweetheart to my 7 year old daughter. Chatting with her and making her smile, and even giving her his Detroit Pistons hat, It made her day. She was so happy going home and wearing that hat and is even wearing it all day today. Thank you to that guy on the bus, you made an already unforgettable night even more memorable for her. Thank you!
To whoever brought my phone to customer service at Sears on Friday Nov 10th, GOD BLESS YOU! There were irreplaceable pictures on there that weren't backed up. Thank you so much for your honesty and kindness.
So it was date night with my girls. We went and seen my little pony. Then dinner at the Chinese buffet. When I went to go pay they said it was taken care of. I asked what do you mean? The waitress said 'pay it forward someone seen you with your kids and paid the bill' I of course got shakey and started to cry. We all hit hard times and finances aren't the best when trying to support two children alone and I've had my rough patches. You certainly don't always think positive and that simple things matter but tonight gave me a better outlook on life. Whoever you are thank you from me and my daughters.
Dear College Teachers,
I am a single mom, and a student of yours. Like many others, I look to OSAP for help to better myself for my children. As the days pass us by with uncertainty when we will return to classes again I am not going to sit here and harp on you about where this disruption has my life at this very second, that's a letter for the College Employer Council and Ontario's Ministry of Advanced Education in my opinion.
This letter is one of Thanks!
Thank you, for standing up for your fellow
Teachers who deserve the same rights as you have.
Thank you, for standing up for us students who deserve to receive a well thought out, prepared and delivered with passion education.
Thank you, for continuing to show up even as the temperatures drop to teach us even in the coldest days there's still something worth fighting for.
Thank you, on behalf of my children who will one day grace the halls proud to be supported by the strength and passion which is you.
Thank you, for fighting the urge to answer us students who are tirelessly emailing and messaging you for answers we know you too are looking for.
Thank you!
As we come closer to these three special days next week when you will attend, log in or which ever other means you have accessible to you in order to cast your vote, please don't be pressured by those of us who don't understand the big picture, please consider not only what you're voting on but also what you may be voting against.
Yes it's been a restless 5 almost 6 weeks and if it must continue, so be it.
You are brave. You are appreciated. You are the shape of OUR future!
To the Veteran at the east end Wal-mart on Wednesday night. I wanted to buy the veteran pins from the table they had there, I try and buy a new 1 every year and to my surprise and delight, the gentleman said would you like this 1 I have on. I said with such appreciation will you really do that and with that he undid it off his jacket and gave it to me. Wow not only do I appreciate his all time sacrifice for our country which shows beyond belief, but for the thoughtfulness that he still has today. Thanks for all you did and still do for our country God Bless you my friend.

I'd like to spot the lovely woman at the Tecumseh Rd E Starbucks this afternoon (Nov 3) around 2:00 who used her reward points to pay for my drink. What a surprise! Such generosity sure did brighten up my day. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the woman driving the white SUV with plates "P Carts" you really did make my day.
To the yard waste collectors on my street this morning...
I watched as you went up to my neighbours gate to grab their bags of yard waste. You didn't have to because they weren't at the curb, but you did and they had a few of them. And I'm sure they were soggy but you walked back and forth getting all of them.
It was a nice thing to see, going beyond and being nice and kind.
Made my morning. ☺️
Thx for that!
At 2am, Wed, November 1st, on County Rd 8,
YOU KILLED MY DOG!
Bella was a beautiful yellow Lab who just had her 9th birthday September. We got her as a pup when we found out we were expecting our first child. I went to dog training with her throughout my pregnancy. 8 1\2 months, monster belly and training our family dog. She was in love with our 2 sons and looked after them dearly. She was full of life and love.
She just needed to do her business this morning before heading back inside for bedtime and snuggles. Her dad heard a "thud" while inside the house and his heart sank. He found her laying in the ditch. She was lifeless. Now we have to tell our boys that she's dead. They'll be all kinds of questions and we can't lie but need to be gentle with the truth. Our oldest has anxiety and this will surely crush him, since Bella has been there all his life.
How could YOU be so heartless?! I hope to God she left her mark on your vehicle and it costs you more then you can afford to fix it! I hope you feel guilty deep down inside your soul! I pray that karma hits you strong!
If anyone has any information please contact me.
Thank you.
