Good Samaritan

Was in line at the Tim Hortons on University Ave earlier today. In front of me was an on duty OPP officer, and there were people behind me as well. This is to highlight the kind act made by the man who was behind me. The OPP officer went to order and you kindly and quietly walked up to the counter behind the officer and whispered discretely to the Tim Hortons employee that you were going to pay for the officer's order. I've had a pretty bad few weeks in Windsor lately and seeing that kind act made my day and made my week. It is people like you that give me hope for the town.

Want to help you!

So while I was at Wal-Mart at dougal there was this young couple at the cash ringing up their order. When they got their total they were shocked and I remembered that feeling. So the boyfriend says he has to pay an amount with cash and the rest in debit. And the woman's face was like how was this so much. So I finish my order and as I'm walking out I see them in between the two doors looking at the bill like wow it was more than they thought. All I wanted to do was help because I have been there. So if you were at Wal-Mart on December after 5 pm please let me know as it's really laid on my heart to pay it forward to you. I will need proof it is you! I remember how much the bill was and the time it was. And what you look like. Just comment below and I will watch for your comment.

Not just honest mechanics but a auto shop with heart!

With just a week left til Christmas the last thing most people expect or need is an added expense and the added expense came to us last week in the form of car repair! My husband visited John's Auto to see what the problem was and how much it would cost us. While waiting for them to get done inspecting our car a woman came in to pay a bill for her car brought in before ours. To the lady's surprise the charge was $300 less then the quote and was told it was because they didn't need to use all the parts they would have needed to fix her car. That gave my husband a happy feeling for the woman and a hopeful feeling for us. Bringing our car back today to get the repairs done( after having them look at the car on Friday and giving us the best and worst scenarios) we were prepared for the worst and hoped for the best. The charge for fixing our car was way less then the worse scenario and they told my husband that they didn't have to use the parts that may have been needed because they could fix the problems without the added cost. Everyone that works there are courteous, honest and work their hardest at being an excellent business in a field that scares a lot of people that have to put their trust into something they don't have enough knowledge about. I cannot thank each and everyone of them enough for being the good people they are!

Amazing staff at Essex District High School

I just want to give a huge shout out today to Essex District High school staff, with all of the medical issues that have been happening with my son (diagnosed with generalized epilepsy with grand mal seizures) the school has been amazing in supporting us and accommodating everything we need and making me feel at ease in knowing he will be well taken care of if anything were to happen at school, but today they went above and beyond and brought me to tears. They called me into the school today and presented me with a check knowing that I've missed a lot of time at work due to this. It goes to show it really does take a village to raise a child and this school has definitely proved to me they're a huge part of our village, so from the bottom of our hearts we thank you 💜💜💜

Stuck in the snow

Huge thankyou to the lady who helped me when my car was stuck in the snow. I was driving my kids to school since the buses were cancelled, and I was stuck turning onto a busy road. This lady not only let me use some treads, but also helped push my car. It took about 3 tries since I was really stuck. I was so grateful she was there. Thankyou!

To the helper on Jefferson and Raymond

Thank you to the man in the truck who pulled over to help to help on Jefferson and Raymond today, just before noon. A gentleman had slipped into the road at the stop light, and I couldn't believe the number of people that drove past him, as he waved his cane in the air signalling his need for help. You arrived just after me (as I fell on my face trying to get to him). I likely would never have gotten the gentleman up on my own. Not only did you pull over to help, you then, without a second thought, loaded the man into your truck and drove him home. You are a good man, sir. Thank you!!

Snow Day Good Time To Influence Great Deeds

Today while navigating the very bad road conditions on Park ave. We witnessed several older gentlemen helping a woman get her car movable after being stuck while approaching the alley. We watched a man in a red station wagon stop and start helping. He ran back to the car and him and his young son grabbed shovels. They all continued to help this woman. 4 men and a very ambitious young man who was maybe 9 years old. What a beautiful moment to be a hero to this young woman who was visibly upset her car was immobile.
Keep doing good deeds y'all.

To the kind lady with two flat tires. Thank you so much, I was stuck in the snow, in a power wheel chair and couldn't move. A very kind lady came along and pushed me home . The chair was very heavy and to push it in the snow Was definately not easy. I hope you didn't hurt yourself. Thank you again
