Yesterday's snowfall + city snowplows made our driveways a bit of a problem for those needing to go out or go to work this morning. Our Street had a generous hearted neighbour who went up and down the street with his snowblower and cleaned the entrances to driveways and I believe he cleaned a number of driveways as well. Thank you Santino Pirrone for your compassionate act of kindness to those who were unable to get out and shovel this morning!
Kudoos to the 2 men using their scoop shovels to clear snow off the road on the cul-de-sac in the 1300 block of Church, so their neighbours are able to maneuver through the snow. Way to go guys..
A big thank you to Mr P in the 1300 block of Church Street and his helpers who are out shoveling our entire street for us. He also helped a neighbor get unstuck and on her way. You are definitely our snow angels and we want to say a big thank you for all you do to make this block a better place to live.
Since many students aren't in school today, parents are wondering how to keep the children busy.
A nod to some parents that have their kids out shoveling snow for their neighbours or for others that need the help.
A special pat on the back to Mohammed who called into CKLW with his phone number, offering to help those in need.
These are the people that make Windsor great!!
A great big Thank you to the kids out today shoveling the whole neighborhood! They refused payment and instead asked to borrow my shovel! You have been spotted!
Iv lived on my block for three years, every snow fall the man down the road Mr Hill is always out plowing everyone's side walks. I just want u to know we are thankful for u. There are plenty of older people on our street and he is one of them and is always right out there taking care of everyone! Mr Hill you have been spotted and we thank u so much for everything u do! ♡
I read the paper this evening about a very generous, compassionate, kind hearted man, Al Quesnel. What a wonderful man you are, you seem to be very laid back and selfless. Your generosity goes above and beyond as you help so many!! It's absolutely wonderful that someone can do so much for others and have a "well I can't take it with me" attitude!! Beautiful!!! Truly enjoyed a bright spot in the news, it was very uplifting!!! Ohhh and the view of the waterfall very nice, I'm guessing a beautiful garden? to match the beautiful personality!! All the best to you Al :)
Every Thursday at 4 to 5 pm my friend and I take our toddler boys to play floor hockey at the Capri arena. The true highlight is that after class we treat the boys to watching the lancer men's hockey practice. It's normally meant for the boys to watch "big boy" hockey and for us Mama's o catch up, vent and giggle about our day. Today though two of your players took noticed to our toddlers. You playfully made faces and waved at them. You checked into the boards Infront of them as they gazed on with big eyes. You made their day. You have no idea how happy you made these two little boys. Thank you for noticing them noticing you!
Go Lancers go!
