My family and I ( 5 kids plus my hubby and myself) were struggling to make ends meet until my next check, so I posted an add on kijiji asking for any kind of help with fresh food and lunch stuff for my kids school lunches!! Well that night I got a text and at first seemed really a bit odd that a 26 yr old man that was working at KFC was willing and wanting to help out a family of 6, it's hard enough for a mother and father to support all the kids let alone a young man!! So we chit chat for a bit and he says to meet him at his work the next day at 11am so my hubby who thought this was just a very cruel trick really didn't want to but I made him. So we got to this young mans work and I went up to the cash and asked for him, he came over introduced him self shook my hand handed me a package and said you have a good day!! As we are driving away I open this package and their was a note so I tried to grab it.... But then $500 in 20 dollar bills fell on to my lap.... OMG... We turned around so fast so we could go back in and at least give this man a hug and let him know what he had done was going to get my kids and is everything food wise and help pay some bills!! What an awesome young man his parents should be more then proud of him. How did he know we were not scammers or just saying we needed food!! What if we didn't even have any kids and was just trying to get ppls money!! I asked him this and he just said I picked the right family!! Which I believe he did, we truely needed the help!! I even too pictures of all the food and of my fridge and freezer with all the food in it I also paid a bit on two of our bills and this week will be going to get more meat to stock up our freezer... Anyways this young man came at a time of sever need and he is an angel to our family and it couldn't have happened to our family at a better time!! Now all I'm going to do is pay it forward every chance I get and when ever I can!!!
I was at the McDonalds on Tecumseh near walker. I was sitting in there with my daughter one Sunday in December having lunch after mass. We sat there for a bit, we talked about school and how things are at home(divorced father and she lives with her mother). She asked me about work and life. We laughed and had some good jokes going back and forth at one point. We talked about getting sundaes on the way out and we also talked about how I wanted chocolate and she wanted strawberry and chocolate. She joked that she was going to eat half of mine and I couldn't touch hers. I was honestly in a very happy place, and its like that every time I am with her. I love her sooo much. Suddenly this lady walks up to our table with two sundaes in a cup holder. She said "I couldn't help over hear as me and my family were having lunch. You have to let your daughter eat half your chocolate tho, she laughed with my daughter as she agreed with her. She turned to me and said "you are a great dad, keep it up"
I almost cried, but I didn't. I don't know if I can explain how great you made me feel though. Just hearing those words made me super happy and I felt like I could take on the world because of what you said. Thank you kind stranger for those kind words.
A man who was truly touched
Went to Mr. Lube on Tecumseh Rd, West for a routine oil change, A female attendant was my service advisor (not sure her name) . I had a bottle of Lucas Oil to add to my oil change. A few moments later she came back to ask me if I was adding that because of the oil leak.......... I was confused,,,,,,,, What oil leak I asked...... She said yes sir you have a pretty good leak going on. I had no I dea, She said well what I'm going to do is save this bottle of Lucas Oil for next time..... She topped up the oil, still checked the tire pressure, and checked the level of other fluids...... AND DIDNT CHARGE ME A THING!
I'll make sure I go back there from now on for my oil changes. She went above and beyond for a customer. Thank you very much.
Finally finished our igloo. Supporting Team Canada during the Olympics
I want to thank "The Groundskeeper" (that's what your trucks say!) for helping my husband push my car back into my driveway way back at the beginning of January during the 'first' snow/ cold storm. I just found out about the whole ordeal and wanted to THANK YOU for helping, especially so late at night.
You couldn't have known just how much your help truly was appreciated in a million different ways but it really, really is appreciated.
Your customers must receive amazing service if your neighbourly actions are anything to measure by.
I lived in amherstburg for a while and during that time Id take a walk once a month to the bridge on alma where someone so very close to me has a memorial set up. I'd go there too write letters to him, and tuck them behind the photo. One brisk Fall afternoon (2 almost 3 years ago) while I sat there writing, a car stopped and a woman got out, brought over to me a hot chocolate, told me she had seen me there before, then apologized for intruding... That was one of the kindest things! You did not intrude! Thank you for your kind gesture!
Wanted to know if anyone can tell me which restaurants serve Gluten Free food without cross contamination with other foods prepared in their restaurants!
This information would be greatly appreciated
Thankyou Everyone
I was in line at a very busy zehrs at tec/ lauzon on 2/ 15 with one item. Despite the line being for customer with 1-8 items, it was still a long line. To the couple in front of me who allowed me to go in front of them with my one item, thank you very much. It is small gestures like this that make all the difference. Thank you again.
