To the man in the KFC on Dougal yesterday

I went to KFC last night, around 5:00, and picked up a large order of chicken for a get together our family was having. It was right in the middle of that horrible storm and the rain was coming down in sheets.
Since my order was too big to carry all at once I took one bag and told the server that I would bring it to my car and be back for the rest.
As I was headed out the door and into the sheet of pouring rain a man came up behind me carrying the rest of my order. He helped me carry my order to my car and proceeded to put it all in the car and get it situated.
I said thank you a few times before you dashed off to get out of the rain, but I wanted to say Thank You again. It meant a lot that someone was willing to go out in that horrible weather just to help a person carry something to her car.
So THANK YOU! and I hope your dinner was really good lol

thanks for the umbrella!

I work at a restaurant downtown and just as the storm was hitting us, the owner asked me to chase an employee down the street. There was a woman waiting for her food and offered to lend me her umbrella so I didn't get drenched looking for said employee. Just wanted to say thank you to that woman, would have been drenched for the rest of the night if it wasnt for her!

To the neighbour with the heart of gold

My cat Abby is 5 years old and I noticed that she was having some kind of issue going on with her mouth but didn't know what it could be so I waited it out for a couple weeks to see if the problem would go away. when weeks went by and she was still acting funny and crying in pain I decided to go out to my neighbors house to ask to borrow a cat cage so I could bring Abby to the animal hospital but let my neighbor know that I didn't need the cage till Friday so I could bring her in... My neighbor said I could borrow it and then asked me what was wrong with Abby... When I told her what I thought was going on inside her mouth she decided to take me to the animal hospital yesterday to have her checked right away... So we get there and the doctor ordered a certain test looking for aids and other things... When the test comes back negative we were very happy... The vet then told us that Abby would need surgery on her teeth due to a rare condition not common in cats... They ended up removing 17 teeth and also fixed her gums... The vet comes in with the bill of 900$ before surgery... My neighbor then turned to me and said "don't worry about paying me back" "Just pay it forward to someone else who may need your help"" Who does that??? My neighbor has a heart of gold and I’m so happy that someone out there cares enough for others as well as animals.... YOU HAVE BEEN SPOTTED!!!

A Nurse and a Veteran that won't give up hope.

A Nurse and a Veteran that won't give up hope. A Nurse and a Veteran that won't give up hope.

Tecumseh, ON
Susan is a 39 year old nurse & Mom of 4. Her husband Scott recently retired from the Military after serving for 22 years, most recently 9 months in Afghanistan. Susan suffered blood clots that caused a stroke in DEC. 2011. Now as a result she suffers from a rheumatoid disorder limiting her ability to work. She is on LTD & CPP disability. One son goes to Sick Kids for treatments every 6 mo. They recently found mould in their son's basement bedroom causing the whole basement to be stripped to the studs. Scott is trying to replace the drywall and do the necessary repairs, but money is so tight they have to do it in stages. The laundry room, bathroom & family room are still under construction. Scott is currently working reduced hours as a pipe fitter. This family just can't catch a break and a new roof would do wonders for them.
