Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
I was at the river front yesterday getting ready to watch the fireworks with my 2 kids 9 & 12 years old. My youngest son asked for glowing bracelets but couldn't find them anywhere so my son asked me to ask a family that was passing by from where they got theirs so I did... It turned that they did not buy them from the riverside. I thanked them then went on their way. 2 minutes later they came back and handed a glowing bracelet to my son, I can't explain the feeling my kids and I felt, we were overwhelmed then not even 5 minutes after that they come back and handed us another bracelet to my older son so I hear the mother saying we did not notice the other kid. I was speechless so were my kids. Those small acts of kindness can raise and teach a good generation to come. My kids were very happy. Thank you ohh so kind family. God bless you
Both of my kids had medical appointments at the Jackson Park Medical Complex this morning, but almost 2 hours apart, so I decided to take them separately rather than making each sit through the other's appointment. I had intended to just pay for a full-day parking pass, then pass it on after I was done for the day, but when I stopped the car by the machine and went to purchase the ticket, a very kind woman offered me a ticket with plenty of time left on it. I thanked her for her kindness, and went to the appointment. I returned to my car at exactly the time the ticket was valid until (weird coincidence!), then left and went to drop the first child off at daycare, pick the other one up at school, and turn around and head back for appointment #2. When I came back to the office, I stopped at the machine again and was just about to purchase a full-day ticket, when a gentleman in a large black pick-up truck told me not to put any money in the machine. I thought perhaps it was broken, but he proceeded to hand me a parking pass, and said that it was good for the rest of the day. I accepted it with much thanks, and assured him that I would pass it on when I had finished with it. I wanted to let him know that I did pass the ticket along, and asked the man that I gave it to if he would be sure to do the same. Not only was I fortunate enough to receive the kindness of 2 strangers today, I was able to teach my 5 year old son to be grateful for the kindness of strangers, and also to share that kindness with others. Thank you very much to both of the individuals who shared their parking passes with me today. Your actions were appreciated!!
Please take a minute to read our story. Our family is going through a very difficult time. My mother has been diagnosed with inoperable, incurable small cell lung cancer. She has been going through chemo for the last year to try and keep the growth to a minimum. She is unable to work now due to her terminal illness which is causing financial stress. She has always been there working hard and helping others, we hope that this time she can get some help and relief from the stress she is under. There is severe damage to her roof which needs to be fixed because it is causing damage inside her home. I have nominated her for a program new to Canada called "No Roof Left Behind" and the winning family will get a new roof at no charge. If you could please spare a few minutes ad read our story on the website provided below and vote for. It would be so much to her and our family.

I just read for the third time Dark Confessions of Extraordinary Ordinary Woman written by local Jenn Boakes Sadai. I want to spread the word because of the uplifting feeling I got each time I read it. She really captures the fact that we all have some sort of roadblock in our lives and there's always something we can do to make it better. It's not about giving up or feeling self pity, it's about making a change that will better your life whether it's big or small. I really feel there are so many women that could use a little a "pick me up" and this is it!

Today as I was driving on Ouellette Avenue, I hit a red light and was stopped at the intersection of Ouellette and University, the corner of Pizza Pizza and The Dugout. The light rain just began, as I looked out the window of my car as I was talking to my friend, when I noticed a young male maybe between the age of 19-23, with 2 brown bags walking up to the less fortunate collecting on the sidewalk. Head phones in ear and just a straight face, he starts taking out hamburgers and food and giving it to the men sitting on the sidewalk not expecting or saying anything, not just one person every person, I seen him hand out to multiple people up the street until I couldn't see him anymore. This was the most refreshing thing I have seen in awhile, kind hearted people helping those who need it not expecting anything in return. I told my friend I would send it to the spotted website and see how it goes. Cheers to the kind people who do good and not expect anything in return on a daily basis.
To the guy walking his big brown dog(red collar) today around 1:30pm on the corner of Bruce and Pitt St. You walked past some construction and didn't realize some of the fresh asphalt that may have been left behind from a construction vehicle. You took your dog to the side and took the time to diligently check all his paws to make sure he didn't step in any! :) Awesome pet ownership!!!
A HUGE THANKYOU to all the many volunteers who stepped up to the plate to clean up all the "Wildwood by the River Bayfield" gardens. We have many gardens in the park but they do have to be maintained to remain looking beautiful .
Canada Day is coming so our park will look fantastic for all the many families & visitors that enjoy the holiday in Bayfield, Ontario. So thanks again for doing what you are doing & Happy Canada Day everyone.
I want to thank Trevor of Precision Post Holes and Fences for coming by on his day off to put in 7 posts. The job he did was professional from the onset. Trevor and crew, you have been spotted.. we will be sure to have you back again for another project we have in mind!
