Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
To the young couple who found our wayward dog in the area Patillo and Old Tecumseh this afternoon. Thank you for taking the time to find out who he belonged to and to returning him to our home safe and sound..You have been spotted.
I would like to spot Wendall at the East side Staples beside Walmart on Tecumseh rd. I have had the wonderful experience of this gentleman's customer service and impeccable manners twice now. The first time was over a year ago when he helped us purchase a new laptop. Last night was the second time. Both times his knowledge, patience and understanding left me with a smile on my face.
We had gone to Walmart first to find a new case for my daughter's ipod 4 because the dog chewed the Survivor case she had before. Unfortunately Walmart had nothing for that generation of ipod. The Walmart staffed looked at us like we were nuts for not understanding why we couldnt buy a case for an ipod that is only a year old. All the accessories are for the new generation of ipod.
Anyway we went to Staples instead. Someone asked us upon entering the store if we needed help. I asked if there were any cases for an ipod 4. The lady directed us to the clearance sections in the electronics section. Wendall came over immediately and went out of his way to help us find a case in the pile of merchandise. Then he went further to find us a screen cover too. We walked out of there 2 happy customers. My daughter was smiling from ear to ear.
Thanks Wendall you have been spotted.
To the horror show of a human being driving the forest green truck outside Sears today around 3pm, you have been spotted as the finest example of Windsors worse. Not only did you park on an angle in a handicap space with no visible card, you accosted a road worker and loudly called him the N-word for all to hear. I hope the workers get the security footage of your near run down in the construction zone and you are held accountable for your actions.
Thank you to the women who stopped her silver van and got out to assist me at California and College on fireworks night. I was in my wheel chair and dropped my cane. I could not teach it and was trying to kick it up in order to grab it with no success. She got out and picked it up for me. I was able to continue along my way. Her kindness was greatly appreciated and I promise to pay it forward to someone else in need in the future.
Today I took the bus to the Hospital for a Dr.'s appointment (I'm 8 months pregnant) on the ride home the bus was pretty full there were no empty seats when I got on so I just held on to the rail. A very kind lady in a yellow top got up from her seat and let me sit. I thanked her but I want her to know I really appreciate the kind gesture. You have been spotted me and my baby thank you.
To ALL of the staff at the Automotive Center of Canadian Tire, Walker Road:
I was frantic trying to find an obscure-sized tire for my van. I was riding on the "donut" and was at my wit's end. After calling all kinds of different places I found you (not thinking you should have been my first phone call). Your service was excellent, friendly and very professional. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
~~A very satisfied customer
To the young man & his girlfriend picking up scrap in an older black ford pick up with wooden racks you've been spotted. I couldn't quite catch the number on the side (sorry). It's such a great deed, seeing two such young people trying to help out is beautiful ! Thank you for taking away the eye sores, I would deffinately recommend keeping an eye out for him & giving him a call ! Koodous to you ! Keep up the good work !
It is not often lately we in Windsor have had a chance to say thank-you to the firefighters. We do a lot of griping about stations and salaries etc.
Last night they did what they are paid all the money to do ( and do everyday ), protect human life and make sure that no-one gets hurt while putting out a potentially volatile situation. They have spent over 12 hours at the point dealing with a fire in a building that really, who knows what is left it. By the time they are completely done with this incident, who knows when they will be officially able to go off scene... could be days.
The City of Windsor had the forethought to invest money into cleaning up the site a few years ago. I shudder to think about what might have happened if they hadn't and some of the chemicals used for Chromium plating were still in the building.
To the neighboring communities that through mutual service agreements helped cover any other calls in the city while our city was dealing with this potential disaster.. thank-you.
Good job all around. Windsor Fire and Rescue, LaSalle Fire and Tecumseh Fire, you have all been spotted!
