Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Yesterday, at the Hospice Residential Home, Luigi Z was presented with his Master's degree by University of Windsor president Alan Wildeman and Professor Bil Altenhof. It was truly a special moment for Luigi, his wife Silvana, and their family and friends, along with the boys from the fire station. Mike Bennett, MSW with The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County is an angel among us for orchestrating this beautiful life moment. One of Luigi's most important goals at the beginning of his journey with cancer was to complete his engineering Master's degree. Congratulations Lu!!

Yesterday my friend Cathy and were returning from shopping in Livonia. We did not purchase a huge amount of stuff, but it did look like we did. She bought 4 pillows and I bought a trash can. I would like to thank the very nice (and cute) customs officer that we had when we came back. He was very friendly, and nice. Thanks for letting us through without a hassle, you made our day!
Holly who works the Tim Hortons drive-thru on Walker and 42. You're a pleasure to see every morning! So polite and friendly but still getting everyone through the drive-thru as quickly as possible. I've never had one complaint about the team running that drive-thru. Good job! :)
To the EMS and police officers that attended my mother and sister's car accident tonight (hit and run from a drunk), thank you so much for your professionalism and for the care you gave my mother and twin sister. I'm sorry I did not get your names, but I hope you enjoy the cake!
Again, thank you!
On behalf of myself and Autism Services Inc, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated items towards The 2014 Wish List for The Summer Program. We could not do this without the generous support from our community! By donating to our Wish List, this enables ASI to keep costs down, while still maintaining an exceptional program. The Bruce Awad Summer Program is such an important part of the summer for individuals with autism, their accomplishments are so inspiring! There are still items needed on the Wish List, with The Summer Program set to begin on July 7. What a great community we live in! Thank You!
To my sweetheart of a neighbour Madison. Tonight you saw me struggling to cut my grass with my 3 year old who has decided he is petrified of bugs. When you came over I was giving him a piggy-back ride while pushing the mower and you took him for a quick walk so I could finish up. You are so sweet. You and your parents (for raising you so well) have been spotted!
