Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
About 2:35 pm on Tuesday southbound on Dougall near Norfolk, an Ambulance, sirens blaring, but no lights flashing. Yes we can hear you but we are trying frantically to find you to make sure we are not in the way. Lights are easily spotted but having to take our eyes off the road to actually look for a specific vehicle is dangerous, especially with the traffic on this stretch of road at that time of day. Emergency Vehicles are equipped with sirens AND lights for a reason.
To the young mom in WalMart East on Tecumseh who's son was having a fit because she wouldn't buy him all the things he wanted. I wanted to tell you that it gets better and when he told you everyone was going to be mad at you for not buying what he wants that in fact everyone will be proud of you for resisting buying anything as he was not entitled. Too many kids these days walk around getting everything they want because parents want them to have everything (they didn't). When in fact you will do him a favour later in life by teaching him how to accept 'no' and how to 'earn' something by not screaming for it. No ONE will think you are a bad mom because you said no to him. Other moms watching were cheering you on for trying to talk to him and reason with him and even though it's hard right now, what you are doing is really good and he will become a better person because of your good parenting skills. Keep it up, You've been spotted.
not sure what my kids found... needless to say we put it back. Eww
I was on my way home on the #3 (into Windsor) and my car died! As I am on the side of the road with 3 kids in the car, a man finally stopped to give me some assistance. He stayed with me and tried everything to get my car started again. I want to put it out there because we do not have people around like that anymore! I can't even count how many cars drove by and didn't stop. One did and I thank you for doing so and also for putting your life on the line being a firefighter!!!! #Somegoodpeopleleft
Mr. Arnot McCallum. Today i saw this wonderful man at McDonalds, He was sharing one of his poems aloud when i realized the rhyming scheme from my childhood. I spun around to like sweet old man holding a file folder of poems and stories. You Sir said i made your week, but i have to say you did the same for me. You are a funny, creative and wise man and i thank you for sharing your 'Its Tough to be a Turkey' poem with My son and I and the other young lady in line. It was a pleasure to see you and know 16 years later your still sharing your hilarious poems with people. I am more than happy to spot you and hope many others have the pleasure.

Following the Germany World Cup Championship Win, my husband and I went to our next destination, proudly waving my German Flag and honking as we went. Now we all know how serious Italians take their soccer, so as we turned down Erie street I was prepared to pull my flag in (being the only car with a Germany flag on the street at the time). To my surprise the cafes were packed with people waving Italian AND German flags and yelling their congratulations to us as we drove past. So to the people of Erie Street yesterday...Thank you!! You are wonderful and have been spotted by this grateful German Fan. Very Classy!!
