On the day of the Dirty Diva run, my sister-in-law and I thought we had a brilliant idea to place my automatic starter in a ziploc bag and in my pocket before the run! After the run and some fun, I went to get the bag out of my pocket only to discover that the bag had not sealed properly and my starter was wet and not working. Thankfully after several tries and a few phone calls, we sought the assistance of a firefighter who was volunteering at the race. A sincere thank you to John, a Kingsville firefighter, who took the time to disassemble my starter and clean it out! This allowed us to finally get back into the car an hour after the race. Despite being covered in mud from head to toe, we so grateful to get into the car and drive home!!
Today I locked my keys and cell phone in the car with it running. I would like to thank Kyla from Shell gas station on Ojibway for all the help to get back into my car. I tried to give her a little something (20$) which she refused, all she said was I would hope someone helps me if i'm in same position. Thanks Kyla .... I guess there really are selfless, kind people out there like Kyla.
Spotted Great Customer Service from the young lady taking orders and money at McDonlads Tecumseh and Drouillard...around 12:45 Friday July 18th. Your personality and service was awesome hope you see this!! Keep up the great work not many like you out there anymore :)
To the city workers driving the wood chipper truck on Banwell around 3:20 today... You stopped and bought a couple glasses of iced tea from the young girls that set up a stand. The big smiles on their faces made me smile too!
A big shout out to the Lee & Maria's Market delivery guy for taking a minute to stop and make a very generous purchase from my daughters' rock sale. Your kindness did not go unnoticed and made the day of two very excited little girls. You've been spotted!
I just wanted to share my morning in downtown Windsor. I had to go to the passport office, which I was dreading, but everyone was so incredibly kind and pleasant--both the staff and the people waiting for service--that it actually made my time there enjoyable!
While I was parking by the river, I must have seen 5 people who were leaving offer their parking stubs with extra time on them to other people who were coming into the lot. I was pushing a stroller, and nearly everyone held doors open for me wherever I went. An elderly woman had fallen on the sidewalk, and everyone around her rushed to help her up and made sure she was okay.
Honestly, almost every person I encountered today was pleasant and smiling, and it just made me so grateful to live in this awesome city. Windsor, you made my morning!
Drove up to the window at Timmie's near Banwell to find that our 2 coffees had been paid for! Thank you to the woman in the black car! We payed it forward and paid towards the next order =)
I'd like to thank the couple who stopped in the Devonshire Mall parking lot around 9:45 on Wednesday evening to help my father. The entire time my hubby & I were on our way to get my father, I was incredibly worried about him. When we arrived I was ecstatic to see a couple had stopped to see if they could be of any help and stayed with him until we arrived.
Thanks again! Not only for helping him but for helping strengthen my belief there are still wonderful people in this city.
