I was at the Shoppers on Wyandotte near Pillette yesterday, wanted to pick up some beverages, and tried to redeem some of my Optimum points, but was told that that I would have to redeem $10 worth, and that I was between levels, but the purchase would cost $5.00, which I didn't have on me, when this really nice young man in line behind me offered to pay for my drinks. After I thanked him profusely, I told him I would pay it forward.
Thank you so much, you made my day!
The staff and lawyers of Chapman Gordon Gardin Stewart LLP lined the streets of University Avenue and soaked each other with ice cold water in support of ALS. In addition to getting wet, the firm has made a $100.00 donation for every firm member who participated, bringing the total to $1,300.00!!!

Thank you to the wonderful couple living at the corner of Byng and Seymour, for their help and trust. Last night my husband and I were bringing home 7 sheets of plywood that were strapped on the back of our truck. Unfortunately, the strap did not hold well, and 5 of the sheets fell off at the intersection. A couple came over to help us reload and loaned us three belts to hold down the wood, asking us to drop the straps in their mailbox today. We made it home safe with no more mishaps, thanks to this caring couple. We hope this couple sees this spot, or hears about it. You have restored our faith in human nature. THANK YOU!
Photos I shot at the Detroit River.
