I've always been very prideful about my stance on how I viewed the human race for their ability to ignore those who they didn't know or were not close to because of many reasons. Be it lack of time in one's day for concern or the fear of the unknown which maybe the news is very good at making people feel like their good actions towards others may only be rewarded with heartache. But tonight someone of which I never did get their name had taken 45mins of their night, not really knowing who I was, while on a date with their girlfriend/ wife(?0, just to return my wallet which had dropped out of the car. This person didn't take any reward that I offered but only my praise and gratitude. Grand respect and thanks goes out to this gentleman for not only returning my wallet but for also renewing my faith that there are still people who through their selfless acts make this world that much more wonderful to live in. Thank you sir, you've been spotted!

Touching Sign of Respect

This is for all those "spotted" yesterday (Sat Sept 6) who pulled over or stopped in their vehicles for a brief time while the funeral procession I was part of was en route to lay our loved one to rest. Young and old, families, those in work vehicles...you all had somewhere to go on a busy Saturday morning, but you took a moment out of your busy schedules to pause and show a sign of respect for a complete stranger and his family. It was so touching - I think I cried more in the car during the procession than the rest of the day. My family from out of town was shocked at what was happening, and we felt such pride in our fellow Windsorites. I don't know if this is a Windsor or a "small town" thing, but what an incredibly heart warming act. "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." -Leo Buscaglia Thank you, Windsor, for your small act of caring.

Pushers Co

We were at our favorite aquarium store, "Aquarium Windsor" last night picking up some chromis fish, which we love by the way. Right next door is Pushers Co. in their new place. We stopped to take a look at their merchandise. Not sure of the guys name that was there but what a great guy. He took the time to talk to us "old folks" and explained a bit about the company. They have some really nice stuff. Good quality and one of a kind. Their prices are really good. If you want original, one of a kind clothing, backpacks etc...make your way downtown to check them out. They are open late on weeknights and even later on weekends. Way to go Pushers Co for not making us feel we were too old to be in the store.

Thank you

I wanted to say thank you to the lady that works in my building for lowering my elevator rate by $10/ hr for splitting the cost between another tenant that needed a delivery to be done since I was receiving a loveseat. Also, I wanted to say thank you to the girl that worked at the FreshCo location for having excellent customer service and for going above the extra mile in price matching my grocery items today. Also, I wanted to say thank you to the East Side Mario's servers who had a very nice attitude and were friendly and polite. You ladies were awesome.

I guess good karma pays back and I will continue to pay it forward.

Sincerely,

A former Windsor resident that now resides in the Region of Waterloo

First hair cut

Today (saturday) I took my baby boy for his first haircut to the golden razor in Devonshire mall! This is where I had taken my daughter for her first haircut, and it was such an amazing experience with the most friendly staff! With my son's first birthday days away, we decided to venture in. Being by myself, and him being so little, I had to sit in the chair with him, so I was unable to get any pictures or memories of this milestone for myself. As we sat in our chair and got our aprons on, the lady getting her hair done next to me generously offered to take pictures and send them too me, so I wouldn't miss out! I excitedly accepted her offer! As we finished we exchanged numbers and she said she'd send them. Moments later I received not one or two, but several pictures of our amazing experience! All his funny faces, that even I had missed. This may seem like a small gesture, but it meant so much to me! You have been spotted! Thankyou so much!

Petro Canada in Emeryville

Thank you to the amazing men who run the Petro gas station in Emeryville. I've been a customer there for the past three years or so and there has not been a time when I haven't been OVERLY impressed with their service. They are extremely friendly and caring and just overall nice people. They make the price of gas not seem so bad when you walk in to pay. Just wanted to thanks to these men for being great people and for brightening my day whenever I go in. You have been spotted! :)
