Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Spotted : To the guy at the Devonshire Mall Starbucks today at approximately 1pm, you are about 16-19 years old, wearing a grey-ish shirt with a red puffy vest & jeans. Shaggy brown hair & glasses...I tried to catch up with you but you are far too quick for me. Maybe you heard me shout out "hey wait up". I just want you to know that those twits for girls giggling at you & not so quietly saying "What an ugly pathetic f*ck" are 100% wrong. I think you are a handsome young man that was minding his own pleasant business. If you at all can see this or someone who knows you does can you message me? I'd like to take you out for dinner. Not everyone is an asshole. I'm sorry you were made to feel worthless by 2 girls who's prime is going to end once high school ends if they don't change how they treat people. Oh & PS...I may have accidentally bumped into them & oops...spilled my latte on their lulu-lemon pants (Sharing this post is entirely encouraged so I can find him. He left in tears...)
I just want to take a minute to thank a few people who I don't know. Early this afternoon my husband and I were taking advantage of this beautiful day to go for a walk with our 2 kids to Tim Horton's on Wyandotte and Crawford. We got to Cameron street and noticed that our dogs collar was around his neck and as my husband went to fling the leash so it was proper the prong collar unclipped and Chief ran away down Wyandotte. All I seen was all these cars and our dog dodging each car. my daughter and son were both crying cause they thought their bestfriend was going to get hit and my husband was running after him. (Chief just wanted to play). There were a group of people in the leopards parking lot trying to circle him so he wouldn't cross Wyandotte again (thankyou) and to the 2 ladies walking down the street and running in to the street to try to stop him also I say thankyou. I was upset that the cars were more worried about hitting the three people in the street more than hitting my dog. These 2 ladies were relentless in helping us round up Chief. Finally this guy came out of no where with a dog treat just in time before the bus hit my dog. If it wasn't for you three people my kids would not have their bestfriend and me and my husband would not have our chiefy. you kind people have been spotted :)
Last night I was at Chapters with my son and husband. I needed to leave them for a few minutes to get my cell fixed at Best Buy. I passed two teens on a bench just outside of Chapters closer to Bowring. Two young ladies in deep conversation. No cell phones. Very candid. Laughing, chatting and completely oblivious to people around. It took me longer than I thought to get back to my family and I would say after a half hour I went back to Chapters to get them to go back to the food court. There were these two girls still chatting away. NO CELL PHONES. No buried faces no sitting beside each other texting someone else. An hour later we left the mall and walked past them. They were still in conversation. I just want to give a shout out to them, how refreshing it was to see. I hope this is a new trend occurring where the next generation is going to engage and put down their devices and get to know each other. One had a striped shirt on, that's all I remember but you were both lovely. Be proud.
Thank you to the Costco employee and the patron for helping me get my mother's car out of the gas bar and helping me start my mother's car.
Today at Riverside Grill I witnessed a father and two sons, having breakfast
the one son with down syndrome, observed two young ladies approx 21 years old sitting next to them. He approached the one girl, Now get this!!!
He's six years old, older brother around 8, He got down on one knee reached into his pocket, pulled out an imaginative ring and placed it on her finger, and asked her to marry him. She said yes, and he had the biggest smile on his face , gave her the biggest hug, to which the father replied Welcome to the family! Thought I would share this!!!
I want to recognize all those who volunteer at Cuddles Clothing for Kids. They work hard so families in need of free clothing for their children (and maternity) can have that option. Keep up the good work! Also a big thank you to all those who donate, it's appreciated by all!
Today I saw a bus driver actually have the time to wait for a girl who was running for the bus and you already started to pull away. Most times either the bus driver just pulls away without seeing the person or he/ she dont care because they have to keep the schedule. Kudos to the driver of bus 617 Ottawa 4 going east at 3 15 pm at the market
I just wanted to give major shout out to the amazing medics at the University of Windsor Emergency Response Team. I see you guys going through residence halls and responding across campus, but never gave much thought to the important role you guys play on campus until I needed your services a few weeks ago. You guys did a great job tending to my emergency, making sure I knew exactly what was going on, and keeping me calm.
So for everything you do to help keep our campus safe, thank you!
