Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
To the young lady that was working at Harmony In Action this morning, I thank you for your kindness of coming out in the rain to my van with an umbrella to help my daughter Felisha, whom is in a wheelchair, get inside the building dry. This has never happened in the past. You are very kind. Thank you
To the U Windsor student who recovered an injured Peregrine Falcon on the ground at Riverside Drive and took the bird to Erie Wildlife Rescue, I want to express the heartfelt thanks of the Windsor Peregrine Falcon Watch team. The Peregrine you rescued is Voltaire, our resident female, and she was released successfully after receiving great care from the folks at EWR and Dr. L. Horsman. She is flying well again and back on her nest.
Thank you for caring enough to come to the aid of an amazing raptor in our community. We wish we knew who you are so we could thank you in person. We are deeply grateful for your kindness and your quick action!
I wanted to thank the kind stranger ahead of me in the drive through at TIm's on Lauzon and Wyandotte yesterday around 6pm. Your kind gesture of paying for my order made me smile! I will definitely pay it forward :-)
Hope you had a wonderful evening! You certainly made my work day a bit brighter.
Had my faith in humanity restored just a little bit today. (April 29th)
Going home at lunch time came up on traffic congestion on Lauzon Parkway near Tecumseh road. Six lanes of traffic snarled in both directions. When I was close enough to see what was going on I saw some motorists had taken it upon themselves to stop the traffic and help escort a pair of Canadian geese and their babies across the road. In the stopped cars, no one was honking or trying to run them over as I would have expected. Might be hope for humankind yet. As for the people that stopped the traffic to help out the geese. True heros in my books. I for one appreciated your efforts. You'll probably never see this... but Thank You!
Here's a great story. This couple Kylie and Brent planned their dream wedding in Costa Rica, 60 of their friends joined them. The night they arrived at the resort the mom of the bride had a terrible fall down some slippery stairs and hit her head so hard she had to be flown to San Jose (6 hours away) and underwent 2 brain surgeries and may have suffered some irreversible damage - only time will tell! The photo I took of them on the beach when they were announcing the cancellation and updating us on the mom's condition, it was so emotional and overwhelming. The wedding was cancelled (postponed) and the trip ended up by the bride's mom's side and here's what happened the day after they returned home to Canada: See attached video.

Sunday April 26th 2015 around 8:20 pm my water broke at home so needless to say we rushed over to the hospital (2nd floor) to be welcomed by the clerk when we got off the elevator .. mind u a very lovely lady, she quickly gets me into triage before we were all floating away lol . As soon as I get change and lay into bed 2 more nurses r now taking care of me ajd they call the on call Dr to come in Dr.suga to talk to me not only did my water brake but the baby had a bowel movement in the womb and that could be very dangerous .. Dr.suga explained to me different risks potential problems and then told me I was admitted we were going to have a baby together tonight . They then put me in too a wheel chair and brought me to my bed at east where I now have a nurse named Amanda . Now this nurse is probably one of the best nurses have ever had . Me and the baby was her only concern she went over and beyond to take care of us and with all the ups and downs that happened all the scary things that kept repeating over and over she kept strong and tried to keep me there also she kept me out of a panic .. outstanding work Amanda u should be so proud of yourself and the way u hold it together for patients .. around 6:45 am Dr.suga came in sat at my bedside rubbing my leg telling me a c section is needed for a healthy safe baby , so needless to say another group of hands down the best nurse arrived to assist .. moving on to my stay and my day and night time nurses for the 2 days AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING they showed me how to breast feed they have shown me lil tricks here and there .. honestly because of these nurses and Dr it has been one of the best stays I have ever had here at met.. Thank u to all that were involved with the safe arrival of my baby girl savannah
Today was my terrible horrible no good very bad day. I knew i should have hidden under the blankets, shut out the world and not leave my bed. I didn't have that option. So I faced the day, took the knocks and tried to suck up what came. At 7pm I went to pick up my very tired teen from a track event. My car, my like me, ran out of gas. I was stuck right by the macdonalds in Lasalle. When my son and i tried to push the car it would roll backward into traffic. We stopped in to the restaurant to use the phone and when we returned you were by our car. You helped us push the car to the near by gas station, and line it up with the pump. The thanks I said to you and your wife seems so insufficient. Your moment of kindness gave my terrible day a safe and happy ending. I hope some one here knows who you and your wife are, because i'd like to say thank you again
Sitting at Maryvale, it's 140pm. To the dad playing ice cream shop with the little pet shop people, good for you for taking the time to play with your daughter while you wait. It was so nice to hear you playing and having fun with her while you wait. You are a great dad.
