Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
Today I was in Dr. F's waiting room on the 3rd floor. I was really nervous that I would need to have a procedure done today. I started to get a little teary eyed thinking about it and this wonderful lady told me that it would be okay. She even came over and consoled me after the tears would not stop. I just want to say thank you for your kindness and assuring me that I would be just fine. It was just like my Grandma who has passed on was there with me. I'm sorry I didn't catch your name but if you read this you'll never know how special that was for me to feel like I had a grandmother's love after not being able to hug my own for 10 years. You are a such a wonderful person thanks for being my honorary Grandma for the day you helped me more than you'll ever know!
Thank you to the nice guy in the dark pickup truck who stopped immediately to make sure we were ok. And you are right that people need to look where they drive.
I was walking my dog southbound George avenue about to cross Seminole. I had pushed the pedestrian button and had the "little walking man". This car turns left onto Seminole and got so close to hitting us, I could touch his car. You sir need to adhere to the proper walking signs at intersections.
I would like to thank the lady behind me at Tim Hortons this morning on Lauzon near the WFCU. The debit machine was down at drive thru so they asked me to go in but had already given me all my order. I went in and that wasn't working either. (Whole system was down). I didn't have cash, the lady behind me handed the guy a $20 to pay for my order. I have done this for others but this is the first time it happened to me. So grateful to you !! Thank you so much for your generosity. Hope they gave you your change back. :)
I'd like to thank the two gentlemen who stopped to thank my daughter today. She was driving through a construction zone and had to go on the shoulder for part of it. She hit a soft spot and her front end slipped down a small slope. The first gentleman immediately pulled over to see that she was okay and was going to stay with her until I got there. As I was on my way she called back to let me know another gentleman had stopped with a pickup truck and a strap and pulled her car back up to the road. I wish she had got their names so I can thank them personally so I hope they see this.
Started with a phone call to 911 all because wifey thought she could do it on her own NOT. First responder were awesome to my wife who was having chest pain and shortness of breath, they not only treated her with the greatest respect, as my wife tells me later they not only took the time with her, but they also were very gentle trying to get an IV into her arm and they just couldn't find a vain even though the driver pulled over twice.
Now unto the ER room the nurses and Dr took the time to ask her all the questions while they waited for me and a friend Sara to get there. They were awesome all of them. Then unto her room they take her to 2nd floor and got her all settled for the night. Through all this because they took the time with her and asked all kind of guestions making her feel she was the most important patient my deepest gratitude to all the nurses at Leamington Hospital. You may be a small hospital but to us you are one of the best in the county for us old folks. So we want to say thank you all for your kindness and patience you have shown us, but to any of us who have to go to your ER for any reason. Blessing to all of you, may God continue in all your lives and watch over you all
Around 12:45am I had fallen in a parking lot. A gentleman riding his bike had stopped and asked if everything was okay I explained what had happened and he rushed to my aid. He helped me up and picked up all my belongings and even my tips and put them in my bag for me. He assisted me to my car and made sure I was okay. When I offered him some money for helping me he turned it down and said it's what good people do. I didnt catch his name sadly. But would just like him to know I appreciate it more than he will ever know.
There are still amazing people in the world and I got lucky enough to meet one tonight
A tremendous thank-you to the physcians, nurses, and staff for saving my life and making recovery possible.
I just want to say thank you again to the lady who walked me to my car tonight at the mall, after being followed by a man twice on my way to my car. I'm happy I decided to trust my instincts and go back into the mall for the 3rd time and wait for someone who was walking out to walk out with me. Thanks for being there and being so kind! Glad to know there are still genuine people in this world. Be aware of your surroundings always!
