Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
I just want to say thank you to the friendly staff at Freddy's in Leamington on the way to Point Peele. We were stopped in to have a nice lunch after spending the day in the sun at the point on Saturday. My daughter passed out in their establishment (too much sun) and the staff their was concerned and helpful. I also want to let them know she is okay.
It was good to know that there are people out there who care.
To the lady at Tim Horton"s at Tecumseh & Chandler, who was in front of me,thank-you so much for paying for my order,I have paid it forward so many times & this was the first time anyone has done it to me. Tomorrow when I go I will forward it to someone. You were in a silver car with chains around your licence plate and a Superman sticker on your back window, and you waved to me as you were pulling away
again THANK-YOU so very much!!!!!!
Today I got home from my walk on riverside and went right to my computer. My husband walked in and asked how my walk was. He noticed a huge smile on my face as I sat there typing. Today I was sitting on a bench only 10-15 feet away from a picnic table behind me. I was resting and I heard 3 boys arguing with the 4th friend. I didn't turn to look, but I listened. The 3 boys were arguing how this purse belongs to the lady and they want to give it to her before she leaves. The one kid said let's look inside first and see what was in there. The one teenager grabbed the purse from him as he tried to open it and said " no, this doesn't belong to us and if you think you have a right to open it you are wrong." The 2 boys walked towards the lady with the purse and at that point she was already walking back towards the picnic area. I noticed a huge smile when she noticed these teens walking towards her. She was so happy she gave them each some money and hugged them both while the other two friends waited at the table. She left and they walked back towards the other two friends. They explained how the lady gave them each 20 dollars and they were going to split the money between the 4 of them so 10 each. The teen who was wanting to keep the purse stopped and thanked Jeff, the friend who ripped the purse away from him. They left talking about what they are going to buy to eat!!!
So many lessons learned in this specific case. You are all great friends and I wish I had the courage to stand up, turn around and tell you that to your faces. But you gave me a reason to smile for the rest of the day and longer.
Sarah from the Comber Tim Hortons working at the drive-thru at about 1:50pm today (July 11th, 2015). You were so kind and actually looked happy doing your job - your smile is contagious! 😊 You also noticed my two children in the back and offered them doughnuts. You made their day! I was actually shocked by the offer and you put smiles on all of our faces! Thank you for your kind gesture and smiles!
I hope your day is filled with kindness as you did to ours.
Thanks again! You have been Spotted Sarah! 😊
To the family who kindly allowed my 5 year old who lives on the spectrum to join you at your table and shared your food with him...you are wonderful. Thank you for being so very kind. God bless you and yours.
I was getting in my car with my mom on Giles and Dufferin and I witnessed a dad and his 5 beautiful very young children walking to Temple Saturday morning. He was patient and loving waiting at the corner for all the kids to hold hands and cross the street. I hurried my mom so she could witness this too. We smiled and talked about what a great role model he was. No shouting to hurry up...just patience and love. It put a smile on both of our faces.
I wanted to thank all the people that have been so supportive these last couple days. My son needs a medical helmet to correct the shape of his head, our insurance does not cover the $2600 fee, we reached out on social media and asked for help and the response has been overwhelming! My family feels so blessed to live in a community that is filled with such kind and caring people. Thank you to all who have donated, said kind words, given suggestions, and shared our fundraiser!
Hello,
Just felt the need to post how thoughtful the young man was when I took my 5 year old daughter in with me to pay for my gas. As we were leaving he told her that she could choose one item in the store for free. This made her night! We don't buy a lot of junk food in our house and it was so sweet of him. Loved watching her light up :)
Thank you for making both of our nights feel special
