Dedicated to the general sights, news and funny happenings all around the world
To the wonderful fellow who walked around McKee park cleaning up garbage- you have been spotted and I'd like to thank you for your selfless act! It was at 2pm Friday, August 21st. You parked your truck, got out and collected all the garbage into a large wastebasket, then drove away. I wanted to thank you at the time but was in my parked car with my daughter asleep in her car seat. Way too often I see fellow Windsorites littering in our parks, conservation areas, and out of their car windows while driving. It's absolutely disgusting and disheartening. We need more people like you who take pride in their city and help to keep our parks clean. I'm sure parents who take their children to this park appreciate it immensely as well as the many geese, ducks and other wildlife who frequent the park. Much thanks to you for your beautiful act of kindness to our city, and to planet Earth!
This morning a man at Costco appeared to have a heart attack. Was unconscious in the parking lot on the ground. His wife was naturally frantic... Costco workers and passerbys jumped to his needs. They immediately began chest compression and took turns doing so when the other would tire. I was amazed how well trained and calm everyone seemed. They did everything they could for this man, continuing chest compression, on what seemed like an eternity for the ambulance to arrive. I'm not sure how the man is doing, but every individual involved should know they worked their butt off in saving his life. I was impressed on an emotional level. And darn proud to be a part of a community that will come together for a perfect stranger...
Costco you have been spotted!
To the two people at costco today in the parking lot performing Cpr and chest compressions on the man who collapsed!! You didn't give up!!! You keep going!! I wish I could have helped more!! To the mans wife!! May god be with you!! I wish I could give you a hug right now!! What a horrible and unexpected experience!! It was refreshing to see everyone come together to try and help!! You are both Heros in my book no matter what the outcome you worked hard trying to save that mans life!! Thank you and may God bless you always!!
Wanted to SPOT the young man on the crosstown 2 going westbound around 1-130 today. Thank you so so so much for getting off the bus flagging me down and returning my backpack. I couldn't understand what you were saying when I was getting off because I had headphones in, but you're a life saver, I had just gone shopping and had $50 worth of my stuff as well as my daughters video games in it. She would have been heartbroken if they would have been lost. I am so grateful and your good karma def brightened my not so happy day!
Signed, Distracted Mom with headphones
To the officer at pirate ship park this morning. I saw you with the kids, cheering them on and watching them race. Awesome to see and hear. Wtg! You have been spotted!
I was taking my son Weston and dog Trixxy for a bike ride by the river on Tuesday around 2:30pm when Weston's bike chain snapped, I was trying my best to fix it but was getting more and more frustrating as Trixxy was getting anxious, he's just a young Bulldog (big fatso :p ) when a very kind man came to the rescue. He gave Trixxy water from a dish he had and fixed Weston's chain as good as new. If anybody knows this man please give him a hand shake from me, his name was (I think I remember) Sant , he said he owns a local bike shop and ALWAYS has a Blue Tooth. Thank you Sant , you saved our family bike ride and you have been spotted.
Thank you to the nice man in the Chrysler Sebring, on Edward Avenue this morning, who stopped to ask if I was OK and needed a ride home after I toppled over on a neighbour's lawn. I was putting my foot down on the curb and surprise! The curb wasn't where it was supposed to be and I overbalanced. :-) Hope you had a great day!
A couple days ago I was at the Shoppers in Riverside with my 2 young children. As we were leaving we spotted a police car in the parking lot, my 6 year old wanted to look at it. 2 female officers came out and invited him to sit in the front seat, and turn the sirens on, she even called his name over the speakers. They were so sweet to him, and he thought it was "awesome". I just wanted to say thank you, he talked about it for rest of the night!
